Stayed for sleep only after a day in Brier Island. Grounds appeared nice, would have enjoyed the opportunity to walk them. No working elevator, and we were on third (top) floor! Sounds like it hasn’t worked for some time. Dining room food and atmosphere was nice. Room is very small. Original woodwork is beautiful. Room needed to be vacuumed. Bathrooms should be updated, as should the ability to charge devices.

This property is not suitable for anyone dealing with a physical disability dealing with mobility, i.e. walking!! My husband has Parkinson's disease and has some issues with his mobility but does get around without any mobility aids at this time. This resort still does not have the elevator operating even after it was noted to be non operational a year ago!!!. Stairs are everywhere - at least 2 - 3 flights between floors! !!! When I inquired about stairs when I booked the room I was advised we would have a room on floor one but when we checked in we were told there was not one available and we would need to take one on floor 2 but they were upgrading our room! This meant at least 15 stairs between floors. We were not impressed to say the least. It's like people with a disability don't count!! As far as dining goes, the one night we stayed, we were seated right next to the isle to and from the kitchen and could see into part of the kitchen and today when we went in to breakfast we were seated right up against the wall going up the stairs to the lobby. We did not feel part of the dining experience or the dining room. The food was very tasty and very well prepared with many choices available. On a more pleasant note, staff throughout the resort were vey helpful and I would say this is the strong point of this resort!!

It was not what we expected for the price we paid. It’s an older establishment. The elevator was not working during our 3 days stay. Toilet in our room did not work well and husband had to fix it on our second day (staff were told about it and reminded upon our leaving) Breakfast was very good and the staff was very friendly each morning, pool clean and nice,spa availability was good. Overall, this hotel needs to be updated to modern standards.

I enjoyed my stay at Digby Pines. I spent the day on the beach (access to the beach right across the road). There were some inconveniences. First the elevator was down and we were on the third floor. Second one of our neighbouring rooms were up partying till well after 3am. We didn’t complain so I guess that was as much our fault. The room was clean but dated. I couldn’t find a plug that worked. The only one available was in the washroom. The carpet was not finished completely between the room and the bathroom. It looked like it needed some TLC.

Elevator wasn’t working and rooms were very noisy near the stairs can hear all the way downstairs to the lobby / bar area. Suggest putting doors at the entrance of the halls so guests are not interrupted at night by those being social below

Good variety for buffet breakfast. Lifts were not working while we were there. Property is old and while there are glimpses of past grandeur, it is badly in need of some restoration and a good coat of paint.

Unfortunately the elevators were out of service. Check in was slow Rooms are extremely dated, bathrooms had mildew and peeling paint from the ceiling. The toilet did not flush well. Overall the property looked “tired”. We could only image how it was in its prime. Although the bed was very comfy. Staff was amazing. Very friendly and accommodating

The rooms have been tastefully updated since my last stay about 6 yrs ago. The mattress was the most comfotable i have had in any hotel. The yard and gardens are impeccably cared for. My critism was the dining room. We waited close to an hour and half for our order. Apparently the kitchen was understaffed. Our waitress could not have been nicer. Our dish of fresh haddoch was overcooked. Such a shame. The chocolate mousse was deadly delicious.
