Typical Japanese hotel room!! That’s being said, still was surprised how small the room was!! Really nice, right across from Hirosaki train station and overall I would recommend. The only other criticism, was a little disappointed in the buffet breakfast. More choices!!
The hotel is right outside of Hirosaki station which is perfect for travelers not super familiar with the country. The bus station is literally between the hotel and the train station where you can take the 100 yen bus to Hirosaki castle and park. The breakfast was a great experience and a little different each morning. The room was a little bit smaller than we expected but was still very comfortable and cozy.
Stayed here as a stop over from the train journey to sapporo. Very close to the train station, with very helpful staff.

Good no frills hotel
This no frills hotel is less than 100 metres from the train station. The condition and design of the room have exceeded my expection. Breakfast buffet spread offer both Japanese and Western styles. Good value and convenient location. Recommended.
The room was quite small, merely fit a couple with their luggages. Staff are friendly but berely speak English. The car park is those that u need to park in a elevator and leave it there for their operation. It's kind of interesting but not so convenient. The hotel is very close to the JR station, so for those who is not driving, it's equally easy to access. The breakfast is GOOD, i love it. Room cleannliness is soso, i guess it's kind of an old hotel, that's why it smells a bit.
Stayed one night as a stepping stone to the rice paddy art (Inakadate/Tanbo) and Hirosaki castle.
The reception staff speak limited English and are very helpful including taking care of luggage storage after checkout.
Breakfast is quite nice and the vege fritters are a must.
To see the rice paddy art, catch the local train (about 30 mins). Even though it's on a private line, the platform is in the same building as the JR Hirosaki, just on the other side. The rice paddy art is in two locations - Inakadate and Tanbo stations (Tanbo ato). I found it easier to go to/from Tanbo as a free shuttle bus operates between both sites and the unmanned station. Otherwise from Inakadate, a taxi is required to the rice paddy art. Best viewing would be in August or maybe early September.
Hirosaki Castle can be accessed via 100 yen loop bus which operates from outside the station. Note: due to repair work being done on the foundation, the castle keep has been relocated approx 70m though still worth a visit to see the castle and adjoining park.
The hotel also has an on-site onsen open until 2am however I did not get a chance to see it.
Hirosaki seems to cater well for foreign tourists and whilst a small town, worth visiting for a day or two.

Great location in Hirosaki
It was right next to the JR station, that is the best thing about the hotel. The free breakfast although doesn't taste great but is much appreciated.
Very nice one day stay. Arrive 10am too early to check-in. The clerk glad to let us left the luggages. We went to the park and castle. 4pm we came back to hotel took a rest and dinner. 8pm went back to the park for a night walk for cherry blossom. This is exactly what we planned. Nice japanese style breakfast in the morning. Very Good location for people taking the train.
Excellent location; bathroom is 2 steps higher than bedroom and very very small deep tub but very short and bed is Japanese very hard in terms of US beds; suggest twin room instead of a double bed; but Japanese breakfast was included and made this a great value. Customer Service was good. Warm air was controlled by the air conditioner by bed.

near the station
just opposite to the train station
a 20 minute walk to the castle and some historical sites
the public bath is a bit small though
overall a good stayover for the visit to Matsumoto castle
Great location near Hirosaki Station. Hotel has decent breakfast, and great night view of Hirosaki. However, the bed was SO hard(and I really like a firm mattress) I felt like I was sleeping on the floor lol! However, the price is very reasonable I think.
Excellent location (just right across the station) and with complimentary breakfast. The facilities are a bit old but still ok. They don’t have a socket by the bed though.
