Old run down. Room was not vacuumed picked up sunflower seeds and paper as I entered. Burned out light. Clock bedside left blinking no set time NO bedside lamp had to turn off room light with switch at door and use phone flashlight to find my way back to bed

I didnt like the fact that the hotel is run down and depressing. There was mold on the shower curtain, rug is disgusting and tearing in places. The skirts of beds were stained. The whole place was ghetto. The towels however were crisp and white. I did appreciate the person at the front desk who was friendly and eager to help.

Clean and kind staff. In hindsight, I got what I paid for-- economical price, good location for the night. No frills. Continental was subpar. Juice machine broken--sign that juice was in fridge but it was Sunny D not juice. Toast, 1 yogurt flavor, bananas as only fruit, make your own waffles, oatmeal but no microwave safe bowl to heat it up.

Appleton WI Microtel

The handicap room wasn't really. Did not have a walk in shower but we made it work. The bigger issue was how low the toilet seat is. Lower than normal. Difficult for a handicap person to use. Other hotels we stay at have a raised seat. Breakfast terrible. No drinks. Machine out of order! So why don't you go purchase two bottles of juice and put them out? Only waffle offered a a few over ripe bananas. Oh, three cereal choices. The coffee bar was lacking and cups were quite small. Sounds silly but offer at least a normal size cup. The room and facility is tired and in need of upgrade.The fire smoke alarm was hanging from the ceiling. Don't know if it even works. Could not get the room cool with out it being damp. Room is offered as a suite with kitchette, it only has an added sink. Not one plate, cup, or piece of silverware. This stuff is not expensive. Other suites I stay in have a few in the cabinet. As a matter of fact, directly across the street they do with cookware and large fridge. Absolutely not worth trying to be frugal. I realize it's a budget hotel but it's also a Wyndham. I most likely will not stay at these properties again.

Besides it was a very very small room, it was comfortable and clean. Average place for a quick stay if your flight leaves early. The pillows were very uncomfortable and theres a huge mirror behind the bed which felt weird. Staff was friendly.
