Me and my son (13) booked a Deluxe room Mountain View for a 3 days Ski trip ( 21-24 dec 2019)
First time in Arosa we were looking for an hotel near the ski lifts. The room we booked online , was advertised as being a 28 m2 double room with mountain view and King size bed.
On the internet clearly better looking (pics and description) then the standard double rooms 16 m2 and the Mountain View double rooms 20 m2, all with Queen-size bed. The price was therefore higher but inspired from other people reviews often stating how small the rooms were we opted for the best that was on offer. As we came we were given what was clearly a standard room. As we complained the man at the reception pathetically tried to let us believe the given room was a deluxe room. Asked for another room, after checking, he said that no other room was available. Pause, quick walk outside to get the luggage and second try (no way we would have stayed in the first room). Another person was at the reception and this time we were showed another room. Clearly better then the first one, but far away from the advertised room we booked.
The room though better than the first one (balcony & mountain view) had no more then 20 m2 and a scarce 2,5 m2 bathroom, (all measured with my travel laser tool).
The fitted carpet was patched many times = repaired many times or shabby chic (?) anyway it didn’t have a good look / impression to us.
A great choice for our stay in Arosa!
The hotel is literally a couple of minutes's walk from the main station and the main ski lifts in the resort. Even with the snow and cold temperatures it was an easy walk. There are few other hotels that are closer.
The hotel itself is really nice, has everything you need and our room was very large compared to some hotels that I have stayed at while skiing. It even had a separate area with a sofa and coffee table separate to the main bedroom. The bar and restaurant are are comfortable and relaxing. It has a small sauna, steam room, relation room and gym too.
The staff were all super friendly and helpful and nothing was ever too much to ask. They even allowed us to keep the room late on the last day as our train was not until mid afternoon.
I would definitely stay again!
We were very well looked after at this friendly hotel. Nothing was too much trouble. It was great to have a lovely view over the Untersee and a balcony to sit on.
I would have liked to sleep with the patio doors open but didn't feel secure as balcony area is communal.
The hotel is very well situated, small and clean. It is close to the train station and where all activities start. However, I was given a room in front of the main road and it was very noisy at night. I could not sleep very well. Also the person above me smoked while it is prohibited to smoke in the room. I was smelling all the smoke and it bothered me.
The bed is extremely small for a single person. It was OK for me for the half price I paid but I would not spend a week in that hotel. For one or two days, it is OK.
Breakfast is one of the best. I loved it. It is too bad, it only opens at 7:30. In this case, a small coffee machine in the room should be provided to each room for early birds.
The advantages you get: A free cable ride to visit the mountain, wifi and 10 percent off if you wish to have dinner in the hotel.
A very decent hotel in an excellent location (5 minutes' walking distance away from the ski lifts). The rooms are clean and comfortable and come with a locker for skiing equipment.
We very much enjoyed our stay overall, but there was an occasion when we felt that the restaurant belonging to the hotel was deliberately ripping us off.
We ordered a pasta dish from the children's menu for my 9-year old son (advertised for CHF 7). We asked for a bigger portion as my son was hungry and (being in Switzerland) fully expected a mark-up of up to 100% of the price. What we did not expect was a mark-up of 150%, resulting in a charge of CHF 17. Considering (a) the simplicity of the dish, (b) we were guests if the hotel, and (c) the portion was no more than twice the amount of a child's portion, we thought this was out of order.

Nice hotel - perfect for ski access
Nice hotel although room was very small with an awkward bathroom. Hotel staff lovely and helpful. Location couldn't be better.
Sauna and steam room facilities a bonus.
There was a strong strange smell wafting in the corridor.
We had a lovely stay in this hotel. Especially its location is a great advantage, as it is only 5 minutes' walking distance from the ski lifts, and so it is possible to come back for breaks, dry wet skiing clothes etc. The rooms were very clean. The bathroom was a bit small, but ok for a few days. Nice storage facilities for skis. Overall very good and happy to recommend to friends.
I really enjoyed my three night stay. The hotel is very conveniently located, near the train station. My room was small but spotless. It overlooked the mountains whose outlines and names were sandblasted on the bottom of the window. Included in my stay were free trips with the cable car up to the Weishorn. Used that to go up to the top, and again to go halfway and hike down. I ate in the hotel restaurant. Excellent food and service. Breakfast was great! Freshly baked bread and a spread of local and other cheese; plus all the other breakfast usuals. I highly recommend this hotel.
The hotel is in good location, free & close parking. You get the Arosa Card- which is very good value for couples and families. Breakfast was good. Room was very clean, nice bath.
Hotel Asora's management. room staff, desk staff, and restaurant staff were exceptionaly professional and very welcoming to me. Friendliness is very much apparent with everyone here. Location is unsurpassed.
A studio single is somewhat small but all needs and services are met nicely.
Very clean and a well maintained property.
Had a wonderful time. The hotel was very clean, beds comfortable, and a great location. The included breakfast was great, and they served it earlier to accommodate persons involved with the classic car race. In our case we had to get down the road before it was closed for the race, so we enjoyed eating early with some of the race participants. The town of Arosa (not to be confused with Asora) is gorgeous. High in the alps, almost above tree line. We had a wonderful time and hope to return for a longer stay someday.
Gute Lage, zentral, nah zum Skilift. Gutes Frühstücksbuffet.
Zum Teil ein wenig verfallen, renovierungsbedürftig.
Insgesamt finde ich den Preis für überhöht.
