Stayed in a pet friendly room (with pets), which is reflected to the somewhat worn furniture of the room. Besides that, the location and price was ideal to exploring downtown Asheville. Free water bottles available at the front desk was a great touch.

Good stay old property

The overall stay was good. The location of the property is amazing - we were able to walk straight from the hotel to downtown and more. The only downside is that the property is old and we had issues with clogged sink and toilet in our room. The manager tried to fix it and gave us vouchers for complementary beer since they couldn’t move us due to the availability, however the issue was still there when we left.

The hotel is very old and outdated. The ambiance around seemed a bit unsafe to be out at night there was a lot of homeless just walking across the parking lot. Also as I was walking my dog there was a prostitute posted in the back entrance of the hotel. Obviously for the price you’re not going to get a 5 star hotel but I wouldn’t recommend this for a family stay.

This hotel is in a great location. It's close to all of the downtown restaurants and shops. It has a free, large parking lot which was important to us because we were traveling in an oversized vehicle.
