Our cabin was really an outfitted camper, thus very small. It was clean and had a nice kitchenette (though cramped). Very convenient in being 100 yards from entrance to the park.

Our 1 night stay in the cozy cabin at the Gateway Inn was excellent. Everything we needed in the cabin was as there.

A comfortable spot to stay for a few days. The cabin interior was very dark, I would have loved a bedside lamp so I could read.

We loved how close this was to the national Park. Other guests were quiet and polite. Our cabin was missing a few amenities, but they were quickly and cheerfully provided by the hosts. Cabins were older but beds seemed newer and were really comfortable. Windows really need darkening/privacy blinds!

The hotel is conveniently located next to the park entrance and the cabin fit our family of four. My main issue was the lack of curtains. One of the beds was right next to the front window which only had a lace curtain… with the flood light by the parking there was no way to get the room dark or really feel like it was private.

Worst hotel I have ever booked and I travel a lot. Do yourself a favor and sleep in your car instead if you are thinking of booking this room. They advertised pictures of small cabins and what we got was a run down looking trailer that was disgusting and smelled awful. The pillow cases were dirty kids pillowcases from the movie Frozen and Trolls and the blanket was a Playboy throw blanket. You can't even make this stuff up. When told we werent going to stay here because it was not at all as advertised in the pictures and it was unclean and smelled bad, we were told there is a no refund policy. We left to go explore Mt Rainier Park and got a call from the front desk asking if we could drop off the keys to the room if we weren't going to stay. I asked if they were going to refund me my money and they said no but they still needed me to drop off the keys of we werent staying so they could rent the room to someone else and double charge for the room even though there were no refunds. I told them that I was looking for other hotels and would drop off if I found something else even though the room should be mine for the night regardless since they werent going to refund me. Our experience was so bad here that we ended up leaving the Mt Rainier area and heading back to Seattle after our terrible experience. We ended up dropping the keys in the drop box and leaving without staying. Still charged the full amount for the room which is insane. STAY ANYWHERE BUT HERE!

We recently stayed at the property. The room was spacious enough for 6 people with 3 double beds. There were spider webs in the corner of rooms..If the property can clean them, it would make the stay more pleasant.

Good value for money. The property is located right outside the gates of Mt Rainier. Ample space for parking and a cute little cabin. The bed was a little uncomfortable to sleep in and the WiFi did not work. Because of being located just outside the national forest area, there was no cell phone service in our room as well. Self check-in was pretty smooth and the staff at the hotel were quite friendly and helpful.

After 5P, you will find a board outside the reception with color printed maps indicating where to park & which cottage you're in with hearts drawn on it. If you have a problem, you need to TEXT the owner, stand in front of the office door to wait for a response, because this is the ONLY place to use your phone and the only way to reach someone. I told them they should spend less time & money printing maps and more time CLEANING. There were bugs all over (alive & dead - one trapped in the lampshade next to the bed), food in the furniture, & spiderwebs hanging from the ceiling. Hairs in the bed. Sticky refrigerator. And my favorite, NO SWITCH for the bathroom light. You can't turn it OFF! The WiFi doesn't work. The TV signal went out at 9P. I was thinking of putting my slippers on the bed before I went to sleep and then watched a huge spider walk by them. It probably came through the huge gap under the front door. I've traveled all over the country and the world. I have been in dreadful places but to charge what they are charging is ridiculous. I've stayed in beautiful places for half the amount. I can tolerate a lot. And as much as I read reviews, I don't write them. In this instance, I was compelled.
