Second time staying at this particular hotel, came in for reunion. For a Ashland hotel theres not many options, this one atleast didnt have roaches or bedbugs. Could have been cleaner, the side door was propped open all night which could lead to safety issues, room was mediocre.

Good enough
Room was advertised as 2 queen beds with a sleeper sofa. Upon arrival, though, we were told that no rooms had queen beds and sleeper sofas. We asked for 2 rollaway beds to compensate, which the front clerk helped us with. The rollaways barely fit, but we made them work. Water pressure in shower was fantastic, and the breakfast was really good as well.

Lazy staff and not clean
The front clerk didn’t want to get out of her seat and do anything. She was rude. We told her someone was smoking marijuana in a room by ours, as it was floating down the hallway. Her reply was “Well, if you find out who it is, let me know.” The remotes didn’t work properly. The bathroom was dirty and barely had any toilet paper. I asked for an extra pillow, as I have a congenital spine disease, and the extra pillow helps for between my knees on firm beds. I was told they only had enough pillows for each room. The noise up and down the halls and children running was ridiculous. A couple was there for their honeymoon and had similar complaints. The next morning, at 8am, housekeeping was trying to open my door, though I had a “do not disturb” sign on it. Luckily, I had the latch thrown or she’d have come in, and I was in the shower. Check out wasn’t until noon. I will NEVER stay there again.

I will never book here again! I arrived on 10/4 and was told that my reservation had been canceled! WITHOUT ANY NOTICE TO ME! I had to scramble around and try to find somewhere else to stay. I’m from Ohio. Expedia stated your property canceled my reservation not them. My friends who I referred this hotel to had to find somewhere else to stay! There door to their room would not close properly! BIG SAFETY ISSUE! This caused them to miss the festivities that we were all there for at Marshall University!!! They also got double charged instead of receiving a refund! I am waiting on a refund as well!

Pro: breakfast (waffles!), hot water, terrific smelling shampoo/conditioner/body wash, comfortable bed & nice linens. Cons: Room 218: musty/moldy air in room, leaky shower faucet, STRONG water pressure suitable for a car wash. Make sure your contacts don't come out.

Key entry issue
The card keysystem did not work. It had been down for 3 days. The front desk had to let you into the room. So you had no key to the room. I have never experienced that before.
