Staff were friendly. Breakfast not stocked quickly. Pool area was wonderful. But in general the property looked tied and worn - much in need of paint and better cleaning. Great beds and linens. Not great for the price point of almost 300.00/night!!!

Pretty Underwhelming

The hotel was pretty worn down… we figured it would be, but more than we thought. The floor in our room was really uneven and the mattresses were too small for the stands. For the money, it wasn’t a good deal.

Our room didn't have an inside access to the swimming pool which was very disappointing. Toilets sat too low making them harder to get back up from. There were only 2 places to hang towels in the bathroom. Please install more towel holders in your bathrooms. Scrambled eggs container was empty as was pancake maker and it took 10 to 15 minutes before they were refilled.

There is a quiet simplicity to this property nestled on the shore of Gitche Gummee (Lake Superior) It seems ideal for a family excursion emphasizing natural beauty and outdoor activity. What the hotel lacks in amenities: adjacent restaurant closes at 8 pm, skeletal staff, and isolation, it breaks even on rural isolation and aquatic charm.

Room was clean and quiet. They could use an update but everything was very clean. We asked for a cot and they brought a twin bed on wheels. Breakfast was good and a nice value for the price. Nice view of the lake. I would stay here again.

There was a leak in the bathroom and we told the front desk twice. Nobody came to inspect or fix it. The leak would drip on the toilet. It was a beautiful area and will be back - just not in room 106.

Nice room; great location

The Quality Inn is in a really nice location with great views of Lake Superior. The staff is accommodating. The hot breakfast is better than average and Angela, who oversees the breakfast is the hardest-working and most pleasant member of the staff.

The property is right on Lake Superior with a great view. Only 30 minutes from the Apostle Islands. The staff was very nice. The rooms are smaller but clean. The Mexican Restaurant right next door was very convenient.

Ashland trip visiting an old friend.

Employees of this hotel were amazing. Friendly and professional. Front desk check in guy was very nice. The kitchen staff were on top of things. Breakfast was good. Saw the energetic and friendly housekeeping gal, she was replenishing towels etc. friendly and approachable. Would of gave more stars on the comfort, because the beds were comfortable, and room was clean, but overall the building needs some remodeling and obvious repair and upkeep. The main perk and draw is the beautiful lake views and patio areas.

The hotel location is isolated with only one restaurant nearby. Other options were available in Ashland though. Also, the room we were in had problems with the smoke detector beeping that maintenance couldn't fix that night so it was disconnected (fine with us).
