It was OK, but somewhat dirty. All drains in the room were clogged and backing up. The shower drain backed up and dragged black "snot like" materials from the drain trap to the shower floor. Not a nice way to clean up at the end of a day. A simple routine from Roto Rooter would solve that.

The breakfast was very limited. The only hot item was the waffles, no eggs, no sausage. Lots of cereal. The room was small for the money I paid. The hotel was remarkably quiet for being fully booked.

Ok not great for a weekend stay
We had a room with no view at all, we faced the backside of a side walkway to hotel's entry door, view of a brick wall. Beds seem new, but very firm. Very clean rooms, but questioning the large fried food crumb on top of one of the positioned bed pillows upon arrival. Shower head is really low and hardly any pressure. I'm only 5'3" and i barely fit under it, while husband is 6'5" and had a hard time getting under it. Hot tub in pool area wasn't very warm, and fairly low on water, did not try the pool. We were only there 3 nights for the Applefest weekend. We did ask ahead of time for a 1st floor room, and they honored that. Definitely ask for a lake view, because it is located across the street from the lake which is a beautiful location! Otherwise you may get a brick wall like us. Continental Breakfast consisted of hard boiled eggs, toast, prepackaged fruit cups, coffee, and a waffle maker, did not see any danishes or donuts, or any hot items.

Clean and Comfortable
Staff were kind, helpful, knowledgeable. Room was clean quiet, comfortable. Continental breakfast was good. Hotel is located in a convenient area close to the lake, easy to find. Hotel is older and needs renovation, and they are working on that. I had a very nice vacation. I travel to Ashland twice a year, and stay at Super 8 every trip.

Our room had a very dirty carpet - toe nail clippings and pieces of dried food. The toilet seat was loose on one side. The breakfast offerings were wonderful. The staff was pleasant and helpful. Had the room been cleaner, this would have meritted another star or 2.

There was a constant noise in the plumbing pipes from the time we checked in until we checked out. It was rhythmic, timely and the same volume. It interfered with our sleep. We were two single ladies and there was only one hand towel in the room when we checked in. I forgot to mention it when I checked out.
