As a touring artist im contractual demand Intercontinental hotels at all stops where available..after our last stop in istanbul (awesome Intercontinental 5*+)instead of heading home we choose athens...this Intercontinental completely mis managed...i complained then just stopped as i would be complaining over and over...slow check in, staff not once opened xar door or welcomed, on phones or smoking, first breakfast so crowded not enough help cold food impossible to even get coffee, room service a mess from what we should get (sharing hand towel, no shower mat, etc)one day with no towels, conditioner empty never filled, i just stopped after complaining about the coffee to then endessly apologized too...it appears they have a lot of staff doing nothing except apologizing...they made well by giving me a voucher for a glass of house wine, beer or soda at thier bar and reimbursing me for two soups...this Intercontinental is by far way far the worst ive visited and ive been in over 30 dif around the world...mismanagement all around...if i was managing and see seven people waiting to check in and one person working but yet five staff standing behinfmd counter on cell phones, completely overwhelmed breakfast staff but two staff to ask your room # but never helping....if i return to athens touring or vaca i wouldnt step foot here again.could stay at a low end marriott and get coffee at breakfast, toweks fir two in the room daily, refilled shower soaps, etc.worst Intercontinental
