Perfect in every way!

We could not have been happier with our stay at Athens Gate. The staff was absolutely wonderful: knowledgeable, helpful and accommodating. Our room was lovely...clean, comfortable and with a marvelous view. Our server, Evita, in the Roof Top restaurant was delightful. The view of the Acropolis from the restaurant is absolutely amazing. The location of the hotel near the historic old town is perfect.

2 night stay July 25’

The help from the desk was excellent. Arrived early and was easily able to store bags and get email updates for when room is ready. Also given ideas for things to do close to the hotel while waiting needed to get some laundry done in the process was simple inconvenient although expensive. Located within walking distance of major sites. When we did venture away from the area they were able to get a taxi for us within minutes. View from the rooftop restaurant was incredible. Had read that it was difficult to get elevators because there were only two. Thankfully, that was not the case with us. Maybe we just got lucky. Would definitely return if back in Athens.

Friendly staff and quick check-in. Luggage was stored until our room was ready and we explored the surrounding area. Location couldn’t be better - bang in the middle of the historic area. Room view was the Temple of Zeus, while the rooftop restaurant had incredible unobstructed views of the Acropolis! Room was comfortable and had everything we needed. Only downside was we overlooked probably Athens busiest road so quite noisy even overnight. However, this was the perfect base to explore Athens.

Athens mini break

The room and bathroom were very clean and the bed was very comfortable. The staff were lovely. For the first 3 days of our stay we had a room at the back of the hotel, no view but quiet. On the last night we were at the front of the hotel which is very noisy from the large, busy road outside so if you get disturbed by traffic request a room at the back.

Great hotel right in the middle of Athens within walking distance of most things, check in time at 3 pm is too late and they wouldn’t accompany me.’they did store my bags. The breakfast buffet has great views of the Acropolis but the food is average and the lines at 7am were long,

Best location for the sights

The hotel was very clean, the staff were wonderful helped us print our luggage tags for our onward journey which we had forgotten to do. The hotel was clean and in an excellent position for the main sights of Athens. The Acropolis and Zeus temple within walking distance and the restaurants and bars. The breakfast was average and the restaurant isn’t very big so can become crowded at peak times. The views from the rooftop restaurant and bar are spectacular and definitely worth seeing. We would love to visit Athens again and would definitely stay here again.

Great location with many restaurants and shops a few minutes away at the pedestrian. Center of town to meet the tour guides and view of Acropolis and other monuments. Asked for a taxi van to pick us up at 2:30 am and they arranged it for us. Taxi came promptly. Staff helped with luggage. One of the two rooms was @vailable early and they graciously gave it to my parents so early ch3ck in after com8ng from early cruise disembarkation was awesome. Everyone answered all questions. They were helpful and very friendly. If you see the views look8ng back you hate it until you realize it’s th3 back of the pedestrian street and although you don5 see it you then realize how close you are to everything.

Lovely place to stay while at Athens!

Excellent location, walkable to all attractions. Close to Metro train station. The front desk staff are very nice and courteous. The breakfast with the view of acropolis is awesome. Overall, a great valie for the price for family and couples.
