Nice place to stay near the airport

Nice apartment for a decent price. Area was decent, could have been easier to access and closer to transit. Wish there were a way to get here that wasn't taxi transfer.

The building is new and squeaky clean. The rooms are Spartan and totally adequate, but lacking in charm. The AV link protocol is impersonal, but it worked very well. Especially useful was the taxi service. On the day of my arrival Athens had a taxi strike, but I booked the Avelink transport for €22 and a staff member from the office pick me up in a private vehicle. His name is Andreas and he was great.. I took that service back to the airport the next day to pick up my rental because I was daunted by the narrow streets in Spata He was a regular taxi driver and took me right to the rental car lot. I liked the location in Spata and made use of the free parking at the hotel on my second stay there. The town is close to the airport and good for a taste of non-tourist Greek life. The price was right. I worry a lot about parking in cities so their free parking was much appreciated.
