Great location - clean and comfortable

We spent a lot of time debating whether the hotel should be 5 stars, but aside from this we enjoyed the stay and was in a great location close to the metro and centre. Views were amazing from the roof top pool, bar, restaurant and the hotel was very comfortable considering we stayed during a heatwave. Staff were excellent. Would stay there again given the opportunity.

Stunning hotel!

This hotel is truly incredible. The decor of the lounge spaces and restaurants is stunning. The rooftop provides the most picturesque views of Athens….and we greatly enjoyed the rooftop pool and restaurant! The breakfast buffet is far beyond a usual hotel buffet….more options of delicious food than we could possibly eat! The staff members were courteous and helpful. The room was clean and well-appointed. However, the bed was very uncomfortable.

Excellent hotel in a quiet, pleasant location. About half an hour by foot to the action if you walk slowly. Rooftop pool has a spectacular view of the Acropolis. We were upgraded to two adjoining rooms, which was-great for our 16 yr. old son. Fabulous breakfast. I woul have given 5 stars had the air conditioning in our room been working properly. In fairness we were offered a room change but we declined because we only had two days before departure and were out during the day.

This is a lovely hotel and we have stayed there previously. It is not within easy walking distance of the main sights but it’s a nice area and not too far so it’s a cheap taxi ride to the plaka. (You can definitely walk there but not in the summer heat.) There are nice dining options in the area and it’s in a fairly quiet area for Athens.

Excellent staff especially Xenia who made the experience perfect with all the activities and transport she arranged. The property is an older property, classic eighties, and more traditional greek, but the effort to keep it clean and in excellent condition is outstanding. The cleaners practically never stop. I met them cleaning at 4an and later came in at 1am and it's being constantly cleaned. The only negative was the shower took a longish time to drain out, and we had rollaway beds in both rooms as a large group, and the beds were okay. Otherwise a great hotel. The pool and roof top views were really nice.

Nice hotel, larger space which is a relief in Europe. Pricey hotel though, food, room service, pool bar etc all expensive. Even a cup of milk for kids was $5 EUR. Not complaining, but it is good for travellers to know this info before booking. The good news is there is a Bazar within walking distance and a number of cafes to spend reasonable sums on. Hotel is a 10 minute taxi to Plakka and acropolis area. If you are looking to walk to sites from your hotel then dont stay here. If you are looking for quiet, peaceful place with a swimming pool and larger rooms, then this place is for you! All in all we enjoyed this hotel.

I recently stayed with my young family. Whilst the hotel is not really geared towards children, the staff were all extremely welcoming and kind towards the children. The pool is a bonus although it's quite a small space so we did feel we were enchroaching on other's quiet time when we were all having fun in the pool. All in all, the rooms were great, the pool was very welcome and the food was always good so we came back a very happy family. We didn't explore much, but it's not a far walk to the metro however when we realised how reasonable the cabs were we just ordered ubers. It's a short taxi ride to the acropolis and the airport was €50.

Had family suite with four beds, paid a very large sum for that, and had some notable issues. First, one of the beds was a crappy cot, and that person got no sleep. Second, I booked this because it had a nice big rooftop pool and bar. When we got off our cruise ship, we were at the hotel by 8am. I knew the suite would not be ready, but they had NO WAY of contacting me to tell me when it was ready. Also poor is they did not offer to let us use the pool while we waited for room to be ready. The service was snotty except for the bellman. Third, they were also unable to arrange a larger taxi/transport even though they said they did. Fourth, the air conditioning made a loud screeching noise constantly which many people would not be able to sleep with. All in all, it was not worth the very large amount I paid for this suite. The boutique hotel we were in the Plaka area earlier was 100% better and more than 50% less expensive for two rooms vs one suite. To be fair, the positives are: it is big and beautiful, the bathroom was immaculately clean, and the area is very nice. The rooftop pool and bar and restaurant are fabulous. If I had paid less I would probably have not complained in this review.

I’m very disappointed in this hotel. It says it’s a 5 star but I think it’s more 3 star. Don’t get me wrong the lobby, roof top restaurant and staff was 5 star. But rooms and service was more like 3 star. The bed was so uncomfortable. I asked for a queen size bed but they gave us two twin beds:( my boyfriend and I had trouble sleeping. The maids walked in on us twice to clean the room while we were still sleeping. Good thing we only stayed two nights. Location was good but for being a “5 star” hotel, I expected better. I paid $700 for two nights and I don’t think it was worth it for the quality of the room.
