If you want to be in the thick of the Ermou shopping district and steps from the Plaka, this is a great place to stay. Even with dozens of restaurants buzzing outside, our room was quiet, with double doors that made a huge difference. The rooftop restaurant was lovely, food was great and service was amazing with a perfect view of the Acropolis. Parking might be a challenge if you have a car, but taxis are everywhere if you don't want to walk. We'll stay at the Elia Ermou again next time we're in Athens.

Views of Acropolis from our room and the roof top restaurant were AMAZING. Staff were very welcoming. Location is fantastic. Included breakfast was very good but dinner at the restaurant was just ok.

Lovely hotel, some recommendations

Elia Ermou Very nice hotel very well situated don’t read too much about whether to stay in syntagma psyri or monesteraki : they are 5 minutes walk from each other. The staff is simply superb from the reception to the bellhops to the maintenance people. Breakfast is excellent and the view of the Acropolis from the 7th floor is simply incredible. Here are some suggestions to and make your stay as pleasant as possible 1. At least junior suite have a free access to the minibar: hard and soft drinks nuts. You don’t get to know that until you are settled in! 2. All rooms have double windows that truly muffle the sound but some revelers stay quite late and do not care: bring earplugs if you happen to get a lower floor room on the side of the many pubs. 3. All toilets in Greece do not allow you to throw any paper in toilet. The saving grace is that toilets at Elia (not necessarily at other hotels) have a wall-mounted hose-like bidet contraption to clean yourself. 4. The shower faces the toilet room and has nothing to hang your change of clothes on which means you must step out naked to dry and wear clothes: this could be inconvenient for some. It is so simple to remedy so I hope the hotel takes note 5. All electric outlets require the deep type of European plugs. Regular ones will not allow you to plug your devices. See photo. 6. Altogether a lovely hotel that is highly recommended.

Fantastic hotel and staff

Really good lovely hotel in an excellent location. Fantastic friendly staff always willing to help Zoi on the front desk got us in a little earlier which was greatly appreciated. Only negative was the lack of eco foresight with disposable miniatures in the bathroom.
