awful hotel

This hotel is in a terrible area surrounded by shady people. The AC doesn’t work at all — it’s like a sauna in here. I was dripping sweat the whole time, couldn’t sleep. I asked the staff for a fan and they straight up lied, said they didn’t have one. Later I talked to someone else who said they did have a fan and brought me one it barely helped, just blew around hot air. The room is tiny, barely space to move. And to top it off, a cockroach crawled on me while I was laying down. This place is disgusting. Never coming back.

Top notch service by staff. Very clean rooms. Only surrounding area is little noisy and unclean. If you are ok with that this is the best place. This is very near to the subway station.

While the hotel is located walking distance from the metro station and Monastiraki Square, the route to and from the hotel was area was poorly lit in the later evening and night time. As a first time traveler to Greece, you want to feel reassured that you are safe, which was our only concern. The ubiquitous graffiti can add to feeling unsafe if you are not from a big city. The hotel itself modern and beautiful. The 24 hour staff was welcoming and friendly.

Relatively new apartment block. 24/7 lovely staff. Decent WiFi. Spotlessly clean, spacious apartment. Evita across the street is a nice bar with evening pasta/pizza. Turn left out of reception for a nice coffee. Turn left from reception/left/left so opposite side of block for Apollonion Bakery & breakfast& amazing club sandwiches. Turn right from reception/up the hill to the crossroads/cross diagonally/stay left & a supermarket is 40m away on the end of the block. Turn right from reception/up the hill to the crossroads/turn right & Omonoia Square & Metro Station is 200m away up a wee hill. The roof terrace at the Ermass is so calm and peaceful.

Great place lovely receptionists room nice and clean but my God the area it in is beyond description - think of the worst parts of Jakarta ,Manila or Rio. Trans hookers and graffiti everywhere . Not a safe area . Athens really has a problem with graffiti but this area in particular lots of homeless as well. Footpath totally unsafe as well.

I found the staff on the front desk especially helpful when I faced two distressing situations: 1) My wallet was pickpocketed on May 24, 2025, and the staff assisted me in locating a Western Union office that could provide funds transferred to me from home: 2) When I was scheduled to depart on May 28 all the taxis, Ubers, and shuttle busses were on strike and I was hesitant to take the Metro to the airport. Young Billy, who worked at the hotel, assisted with my suitcase and took me to the Metro station where he purchased my ticket for me and gave me specific written directions on which train to take, when to get off to switch to a different train on a different line. He was so assuring that signage in English would be adequate and I could manage the trip with no difficulty. He was right! It was a real pleasure to travel on the Metro. Thanks to the staff at Ermass.

The Property is clean, spacious and the staff is courteous and helpful with all our questions. The property is not in the best location but its not too bad either. Its close to the subway and one can also walk to Monasteraki and the Acropolis in a bout 20 minutes. I definitely recommend it.
