The photos online are very polished, but make no mistake that this is a motel, not a hotel. Parking was $12, though the space is located right in front of your door. I can imagine that during football season or major events, staying here could be a bit chaotic due to potential street and parking lot noise.
My stay was quiet, likely because the property wasn’t at full occupancy. Also, the walls are on the thinner side, and since I was on the first floor, I could hear footsteps from the room above.
The room had a noticeably damp feel, and I woke up with sinus irritation. (I did turn on the ac but it wasn’t helping. The decor was thoughtfully curated, giving the room a vintage 1940s–50s vibe, complete with a rotary phone and era-specific furnishings and art.
The bed was a king size, but the mattress didn’t offer the most restful sleep. This is not a four-star hotel or a four-star experience—think more along the lines of a Red Roof Inn. It was fine for a one night stay.
