Basic, No-frills
Basic, no frills, hotel room. Tiny bathroom. Only chair was a desk chair. Clean, relatively quiet. Plenty of easy parking. Had to unplug the mini-fridge because it was making a horrible, high-pitched whistling noise! No information in the room as to where the ice machine is, checkout time, etc. Had to wander the halls looking for the "ice" sign. No pencil/pen or pad of paper. Breakfast was enjoyable with decent variety. Staff was all very friendly.

The accessible room was cramped and smaller than the regular rooms. A blinking light kept me up and I had to put a sticker over it so I could sleep. And I killed a baby roach in the way too tiny bathtub. Other than that, the bed was fine.

I’m a regular titanium Marriott person and used to walk in and checking in within 30 seconds. It took over 10 minutes for the receptionist to check in one person in front of me before she could even wait on me. I ask her what’s going on? She said she’s talking to her manager their systems issues!

Beware the 10.00 charge to park in their parking lot! Then I got to bring my luggage up a double ramp to my room…no elevator. I got to listen to a barking dog and people yelling until midnight in a room down the hall. Their ice machine was 2 floors down. Not very accommodating and it was the most expensive stay of all. Lesson learned on this one.

Ok, but not great
The hallways in the hotel smelled awful (floor 2 specifically). Our room thermostat was set to heat on high and 80 degrees when we walked in. And the room smelled musty we had to spray room freshener into the vents. Shower pressure was non existant. Bed and pillows were comfortable and black out shade pretty much did its job. Doors all close very loudly so you hear ever single slam throughout the morning. Location is convenient to downtown Athens and room rate and parking was affordable, so we will probably have to stay again next time we visit. Hopefully some of the issues will be resolved by then.
