Visited Plaka hotel many times- hotel is in an ideal location. Close to the Plaka area with its tavernas & bars. Hotel has an amazing roof top bar with view of the Acropolis. Short walk from Syntagma Square. Hotel is very clean & staff very friendly.

Great hotel in a central location for exploring Athens. Room with view of the acropolis was amazing and was spotlessly cleaned. Staff were very attentive and friendly Breakfast had variety for everyone. Would recommend a drink on the roof top bar with amazing views. Great hotel thoroughly recommend

Wonderful stay!!

We had a lovely stay at the Hotel Plaka. Eva was very helpful when we had questions. Room was clean and nice. Acropolis view was incredible! We also had a very tasty dinner at the rooftop restaurant. Highly recommend!

Perfect spot

The location was perfect, easily walkable to all of the major sites. The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was good, although it was the same every day and included eggs, cereal, breads, meats and cheeses along with a selection of Greek salads, olives, cheese or spinach pies and small sweets. They had a very limited selection of tv channels but I was usually so tired by the end of the day I didn’t have much desire to watch tv. They have an amazing view from the rooftop bar and you can go out on it any time, even if the bar isn’t open. I would take coffee up there in the morning and it was so calm and beautiful. I’m so happy I stayed here.

Very close to the bus stop. Easy 10 minute walk to the acropolis. Restaurant on the roof is incredible, I highly recommend the beat salad and the taste of the Mediterranean drink. Room was perfect. Across the street from a very lively and safe part of town

We stayed at Plaka hotel for one night on New Year’s Eve. Hotel is in very good location - Syntagama square, Monastiraki Square and Ermou Street all close by. Roof top bar and restaurant have a very nice view to the Acropolis and surrounding area. We had a connecting room for our family of 4, which was fine for 1 night but I wouldn’t have wanted to stay longer as the room is quite small. There was also quite a lot of noise from the outside despite we were on 5th floor - but it was New Year’s Eve so bars and restaurants were a lot busier and noisier than usual. Staff at the hotel were just ok. I was a bit disappointed that they were not able to arrange a pick-up for us from airport despite I made request 24 hours in advance - I contacted another hotel I had stayed at and they were happy and able to make arrangements for me! Overall, I would recommend the Plaka hotel for couples but not for families.

Staff are professionals. Eva from front desk as well the other staff were accommodating. They’re so helpful to direct to the proper places I want to see. They made my trip stress free. The service at the Plaka Hotel was really great. We checked in early, got a load of food washing done (15 euro), they organised a taxi for 4am on the day we left and made us a breakfast tray. Location is excellent - so central to everything. View from the rooftop is incredible.

Exceptional stay at Hotel Plaka. It was off-season and very reasonable rates. We got an Acropolis view room without even asking! Very convenient to sights and to bustling pedestrian walking areas but quiet at night. Staff, particularly Eva, was helpful and checked in with us at breakfast buffet if we had any needs or questions for the day or the stay. Attractive, good sized room with high ceiling, king bed and great shower. Only could recommend a second sitting chair and perhaps more lighting. Only European style outlets. Would definitely stay at Hotel Plaka again - especially in the comfortable, less crowded off-season.
