It's a beautiful hotel and is very conveniently located however the hotel certainl could use some improvements. First issue was with the door keys; I ended up having to have the keys reprogrammed 4 times throughout my stay. Next there was the fact that the rooms could really use some updates, the television appeared to be from the late 90s with a remote that barely worked and it would have been nice if there had been some usb plugs in the room, which could be incorporated with some new lighting as two of the three lamps in the room werent functioning. Finally the breakfast was certainly not worth paying extra for. Not much variety and it was quite bland, there are so many quality breakfast options near the hotel so skip the hotel breakfast. I know this all sounds like a lot of negative but overall these were minor inconveniences and I was quite pleased with the hotel as a whole. The location was great, the staff kind and helpful, and nice pool which was a perfect way to escape the heat for a bit.

Loved this hotel and especially the rooftop restaurant with a great breakfast buffet and the amazing view of the Acropolis! My only suggestion would be to please provide more outlets for guests to charge electronic devices.

Really enjoyed this hotel and the location. What I didn't like is when you book through Expedia, you have to also pay taxes at the end of the stay. I wish it was just one total price. Pretty annoying!

Very noisy from the outside noise, staffs were not friendly, dishes from the breakfast buffet were not clean properly. The room has no electrical outlets to charge the phone or to use for hair dryer. Terrible place for 5 stars hotel.

I stayed at the Royal Olympic 2 years ago and loved the hotel. Unfortunately this time the hotel was really old and rundown. I even was in the same room, so I can say with certainly that the room was awful. The curtain was torn, prior guest food was left in the mini refrigerator. The roof top bar was closed. I used to recommend this hotel but noever again will I.

A beautiful hotel with great views

A beautiful hotel in a lovely, convenient location. Our room was spacious and comfortable - the bed was comfy and large, the marble bathroom was clean and beautiful - with both a shower and a large bathtub. Our room also had the most beautiful view and we loved the electric blackout curtains able to be controlled bedside. The air conditioning in the room was very powerful, which was great due to how hot it was outside. The staff at the hotel were extremely friendly and helpful. They made us feel very welcome and helped whenever we needed it. The pool and restaurant were wonderful too - the view from the rooftop restaurant was absolutely stunning, with sunset views of the Parthenon. We will be coming back to Athens and would definitely stay here again.

The property itself was beautiful. The rooftop restaurant and bar are worth every penny you spend to stay here. The staff at the restaurant and bar were kind and friendly. The rooms are beautiful and the pool is amazing. It is so close to everything and easy to walk to many different attractions. However, the front desk staff had no interest in serving us. During check-in and when our key stopped working, we were spoken down to. We work very hard to be good citizens of the world and be gracious to all in every country that we visit because we are visitors in their home. I felt like we were unwelcome at checkin and reprimanded when our key stopped working.

Not sure how this is a 5 star hotel. Good location to Acropolis. Roof top restaurant had a nice view and was open air. Hotel may have been nice 50 years ago, but it wasn't what we expected. Two twin beds pushed together to make a king bed. No AC. It was 93 degrees outside. The walls were dirty. The toilet seat was loose. No shower curtain and no fan in bathroom. It turned it into a sauna. The shower water fluctuated between hot to cold. The tv is a 25" from 20 years ago. Super small from sitting on the bed. The bathroom door was hard to close. Front desk staff were blunt and not friendly. Restaurant didn't have any low cost items. It all just felt old, dated and not taken care of. The reason for my low review is I don't believe this to even be close to a 5 star hotel. Maybe 3 star. But if they called it 3 star, we wouldn't have booked it. Hmmm

I really enjoyed this hotel, not only it's beautiful, clean, comfortable, spacious, quiet and safe, but the people were very nice and friendly. I stayed in one of the panoramic views room, and it was simply awesome. Beautiful property and nice people. I simply loved it! I highly recommended. I will definitely stay here again.

The hotel served as my home-base for several days in Athens. The location was convenient and the roof-top bar/restaurant was a selling point. The elevators are clunky and inconvenient for guests that wish to visit the roof-top. I had a group of high-school students in the adjacent room, so things were a bit noisy. I really liked being able to open my window that overlooked the pool area.
