TERRIBLE LOCATION - literally surrounded by drug users, it is NOT in a good neighborhood. The room and hotel itself is fine, fairly clean, although the glasses in our bathroom were dirty. It had nice pillows and decently comfortable bead. You get what you pay for, it was serviceable but by no means great. Had I known about the neighborhood I would never have booked.

Close to the Acropolis. Close to the market. Surrounding is not great but the place for me is okay. To save money, time and effort this is kind of a wise hotel to stay into for few nights. Personally, I would go back here and stay.

Great few days in this amazing city! Hotel was a bit far away from everything, although nothing is really central. Area concerned us st first with what seemed like street workers around but we felt safe if careful- like any city. The hotel is old and tired in places but this is made good by the attitude and service from staff- very welcoming and happy to help with anything. Seems family run , always a smile and a chat from reception. Breakfast staff a little different but food ample and coffee great! Give this hotel a try - even though it’s out if the way, the main stations are within 5 min walk. Thank you hotel Solomou!

Decent hotel in not so good area
Overall was good, staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was decent, mattresses were extremely hard and the local area was pretty bad. But for a night stay while touring Athens is ok.

An Oasis in a desert of Squalor
A very nice hotel with excellent service and comfort. The staff could not have been more helpful. Great choice for breakfast and lovely dining area. WiFi a bit inconsistent and room a bit small but other than that cannot fault it. As for the area it is located (Off Omonia Square), this was ghastly...shuttered up buildings, litter, graffiti everywhere, rough sleepers with very heavy smell of urine. Very intimidating after dark, working girls in evidence day and night. The walk to and from the Metro (where I had my wallet pickpocketed on day one) was basically a frightening experience...even walking as a couple. It is a pity such an excellent hotel has seen such a degradation in its surroundings.

Nothing as it was advertised in the pictures. Small room and bad conditions (sound isolation was bad, air-conditioning not working properly, wifi not reachable from the room). Also the stuff were not helpful at all. Bad service in general. The stuff asked me for more money in order to host 1 more person with me. Not recommending this hotel

Ok hotel in marginal location
Ok hotel in marginal area. Inexpensive stay in clean hotel. Breakfast was good, not a lot of variety and an odd combination of food, but overall filling. Interactions with the female receptionist was like many with other Greeks, you left feeling slightly offended and put down and not sure if you got your point across, but not a big deal. Overall good stay.

Not good area, but good hotel.
The area where is the hotel, is terrible! Close to metro but around bad places, hotel is nice, I would love to spend another night there but not with that location, I didn't feel safe even standing outside the hotel door..
