We only stayed 1 night, but it was fabulous! The rooms were quiet and clean. The breakfast buffet on the rooftop was awesome and the views were spectacular. I wish we could have lounged by the pool but our timing was short. The only challenge was the shower area as there is no door where the shower and tub were…so hopefully you know your travel mate well or take turns getting ready and leaving the room for privacy.

Very nice hotel especially the rooftop dining & bar. Rooms are average size and the staff are very helpful & friendly. The location is in downtown Athens but in a bit of a rough area. Most of Athens is a bit rough but a few blocks away is filled with homless people. Easy access to most tourist spots including the metro.

Good stuff: * Main draw is the roof top pool but beware that the hotel rents space out, we had a 12 or 13 year old girl's party there so lots of squealing teens for a whole afternoon! It has a stunning view of the Pantheon, and is an oasis in a busy city. * Metro station and tourist bus 2 mins walk away * Fantastic breakfast, loads of choice, nice seating area including outside deck * Room very clean Bad stuff: * Staff poorly informed - government free entry day, they told us we needed tickets for the Panetheon and only the museum was free, we decided to see when we got there and it was all free * Staff didn't know the mall shops were shut on Sundays so sent us off to find only the food court was open * Staff at the pool are there watching what you are doing so you feel like you're at school. They don't offer a poolside service, just stand and watch you - you order drinks via and app * Restaurant bar and evening meals very limited (one main dish) for veggies * No effective soundproofing - area very noisy both from the street and can hear every word of other guests in corridors from rooms. Hotel used by large coach parties that left early so we were woken at anything from 6.30am * Not much in the area, need to get metro or taxis to town Overall: * Good value compared to other hotels in Athens, just be aware of the need to travel for evening meals and to get to town, and that it's pretty noisy. But offset that against the pool and the cleanliness and nice size of rooms.

Only 1 of hotel elevators was working, with hundreds of guests needing to use the elevators. We were almost late to our cruise ship because it took us 45 min to get downstairs from the 3rd floor with 6 bags. Hotel should have planned to help guests checking out due to this issue. Also the area is not that great, not much to do here, about an 30 min walk and walking to main areas.

The roof terrace was amazing - it was so cool eating breakfast with a view of the acropolis. The staff were so attentive and friendly - would highly recommend this hotel to anyone going to Athens.

The hotel is ok but not remarkable, i chose this hotel beacuse of the VIP benefits and ended up having none, according to that, there were better options at the same price. it’s a big hotel, customer service is not personal, it may be full during the whole year , so there are not efforst to make you feel good during your stay.

Great Hotel

The hotel is amazing. The roof top bar, pool and restaurant was also very good. We had a minor issue in the bathroom but they took care of it right away. Highly recommend!

Nice property, pool closes at 7pm, so well before sunset. Helpful staff on checkin and concierge. Breakfast had lots of variety buffet style, it was fine, but no barista coffee or fresh cooking stations.

Good location and amenities

We enjoyed staying at the Stanley. The rooftop pool deck, Bar and resteraunt are real nice with great views of the Acropolis. The area around the hotel is not the greatest but the metro station is right next to the hotel, which provides easy access to the historical sites nearby.

The hotel was near perfect from the excellent roof top facilities, quality of the food, the staff were all extremely friendly and helpful, the room was really great except the one small thing that would have made the stay perfect would have been a small table with 2 chairs on the balcony so you could easily sit out there in comfort

The staff at The Stanley are all fantastic. We had some lovely servers at the rooftop restaurant and around the pool and they couldn’t have done more for us. The actually rooftop pool and dining area is absolutely stunning with views of The Parthenon whilst you swim and eat dinner! The room itself was clean and kept clean by staff and the bed was very comfortable. There is a wide choice of food at breakfast to suit everyone and the roof top restaurant food is also fantastic. Would not hesitate to recommend this hotel to anyone.
