Great old Hotel

We really like this hotel and stayed here twice. Great breakfast too. We will definitely stay here again. The only issue was that the room was warm and there was no air conditioner unit.

Sleepless in Atlantic City

We slept not one minute. The room looked out over a porch and bright light stayed on the entire night and shown directly into the room right over the bed. The windows were covered with just kind of translucent blinds and light cut and curtains that did nothing to block out the light. I just cannot believe that you rent a room like this and to charge a regular room rate without telling people what they’re in for.

My only complaint is there was repair work being done in the morning while my husband and I tried to rest. We had to leave our room due to the noice. We complained to the front desk. The desk clerk stated there was a leak that was being repaired and waited in the parlor until the repairs were complete.

The rooms are rustic but still offer the amenities you would receive at any standard hotel. If you are into the boutique hotels then thr chelsea pubb inn is a hidden gem.

We were offered room with double beds. Recieved two rooms each with bed so could not sleep in same room. Outside was noisy all night long with cars , people etc. Also on third floor and did not feel safre with the steps.

Beautiful old hotel!

Beautiful old hotel! Great ambiance! The room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. There was one thing that I found odd. The shower was open in the bedroom with only a glass brick half wall separating it from the rest of the bedroom, and it was U shaped and open to the rooms hallway to the bathroom and door. This keeps the air from warming up so it is always cool while showering.

Clean, quaint, quiet!

I stayed at the Chelsea for a brief two-night stay during a work trip. It's a cool place! Definitely more of an inn/b&b feel than your standard hotel. Really neat common areas, friendly staff, and well kept. I had a smaller queen room, which was adequate for one person, maybe tight for two. Room was clean and included a tv and fridge, though not a safe. The front desk provided earplugs, but I found the room to be quiet (though it was midweek in the off season - may be a different story at other times). Location is convenient, probably more so in season. A short walk to the boardwalk/beach,directly across from the Tropicana. The Pub was a nice little watering hole too. Decent food, friendly staff, reasonable prices. Overall, I'd recommend The Chelsea Inn!
