The valet parking and golf field staff has racial discrimination against Asians. We were requested to move our car right away even many cars parked in front of us. We just parked our car there for a few minutes to load our luggage after checkout. The bath shower liquid soap bottle was completely empty. We booked the room for 3 people, but we were only provided with 2 drinking cups.

I've always wanted to stay at Seaview. We finally decided to come for our 47th wedding anniversary. We were welcomed by a very nice gentleman. At check in the woman said she did not get our reservation. (Not the first time booking with Hotels.com) She took care of the problem and we proceeded to our room. When we turned the corner to the hallway with our room. the smell of mildew/mold was overwhelming. Needless to say, our room was the same. Beautiful room, horrible smell. The hotel was overbooked so we knew we couldn't get a different room. When we complained to the manager, her answer was, "It's a very old building", which we understood, however, it didn't smell like that anywhere else in the hotel and it seemed like it was coming from the air conditioning. Couldn't sleep, and now I have a horrible cough. In the end, not the best experience.

Need improvement in welcoming guests @ the arrival

Nice hotel. Good area. We loved the indoor deep pool. Outdoor pool was small. It needs some improvement in welcoming guests . We were so excited for our trip when we got there our first disappointment was the front lady I believed named Tynisha She not only wasn’t welcoming at all but she also was trying to rush us to the next person. When we booked from hotel.com so we looked at the rules and extra fees there but she was like no you had to go check in our website those are wrong information. Truth is no one reserve a hotel at third party and go check at their website as well. Doesn’t make sense bc these 3rd party usually give u better deal and that’s hotel responsibility to be in communication with them In summary hotel was kind of luxury but the service was medium. It can improve a lot. Let’s mention some of other staff were very nice it will be hard to mention everyone name! That’s my honest opinion

Property itself deserved 4 stars, but unfortunately the service brings the rating down. This is a nice property overall, the beds were comfy, overall cleaned, but some stains around the bottom of the tub that needed some attentions. The service was subpar and brought the overall experience down. Before my family headed to the indoor pool, we asked the front desk if we needed to bring the towels. The lady said no, there should be towels in the pool. We went to the pool, no clean towels can be seen, we walked up to the front desk again, requested for the towels and was assured someone would bring them in. We enjoyed our time in the water, as 30 mins passed, no towels yet… My husband went up to the front desk asked for the towels, still got the same response that someone would bring them in. It’s an hour and a half in the pool, my 1 year old started shivering, crying to be carried out of the pool, still no sign of any caring staff at all. Eventually my husband, soaking wet walked back to the room through all those cold air conditioned hallways just to bring us the towels. There were another couples in the pool who called the front desk before they got in the pool as well. We gave them 1 of our towels before we left. I raised my concerns to the same lady in the front desk the next morning, she didn’t care to ask for our wellbeing, she just simply said, “oh sorry, it was busy, I told the maintenance team already.” Her tone didn’t have any empathy nor being apologetic about this.

Loved the history, some areas could use improveme.

This is a beautiful old historic hotel. The inside is pretty well kept and updated. The outside of the building needs some work. Overall, we enjoyed our stay. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The dining room experience was disappointing. It had the look of a beautiful dining room, but it was like a diner inside. Loud, not great service. We had made a reservation but we got stuck in a table inside the doorway. The waitress seemed annoyed that we ordered off the menu rather than the easier for her buffet. The quiche was terrible. It’s too bad- it could be a really special place. It just seems like they forgot to keep up the standard in the dining room.
