Where to start, I paid and booked a king room in the West Tower due to our large group staying all in the West Tower for an event. Went to check in and my wife and I were bumped from the room after being told it was given to someone else because there was a large cheerleading event in town. We were "upgraded" (yea right) to a room in a different tower, which was no upgrade as it was old and outdated. Not only were were a 30 minute walk from where all our friends were staying, but the "upgrade" was no upgrade, would have been much happier being in the room I booked and paid for, not being lied to and the front desk telling us "this was an upgrade." Also the signage in finding the hotel front desk was terrible, walked for 45 minutes before finding it, you would follow a sign that pointed one way only to walk that way, have to turn around and see another sign telling you to go a different way. 10/10 will not book again.

We came for a big cheer competition. We arrived Friday night. The hotel was nice and we liked that there were so many restaurants to choose from. We woke up early Saturday morning to check out and we found roaches in our bathroom. The front desk was closed when we checked out so I couldn’t speak to anyone. I called When they opened and they advised me to call customer relations on Monday. I did This morning and the referred me to billing. Billing then said they had no authority to do anything and to file an online complaint. We paid a decent amount of money and shouldn’t have to worry about staying with bugs or bringing them home…

My “deluxe” room was dirty, food in the fridge from previous guest. On the lower floor next to elevators and pool for over $300. Toilet was broken and water in tank running continuously. Called front desk and she told me they were at capacity and she could call maintenance “if i wanted” offering no help. After an hour waiting in line downstairs a nice girl was able to change my room and put me in a handicap accessible room, which was okay. But i was late to dinner and waited in line almost two hours both times at check in. Will never stay at this hotel again after this. 1/10.

Cost of one night was far more than expected. There were many hidden charges. What turned out to be a one day quick getaway to recharge ended up costing me what I could have spent in the Caribbean. Parking at the lot was overrated...Flat rate for 1 hour or one day...No signs to reflect this until you are ready to leave. Last time I stay at the TROP!
