They give me a room they tell me this is upgraded room which there is no air condition in the bedroom. I told them I don’t need an upgraded room with no air conditioning in the room. I need one with air conditioning in the bedroom. They tell me we don’t have I spend the night. I couldn’t sleep the hotel is very old the apartment the bed it’s not bad but everything else it’s very old.

Great stay. Easy to self park in car parking building and then hotel is right next to it. Couldn't check in early but that was ok and once in room was excellent. Clean, quiet and had a fantastic view of the harbour, harbour bridge and marina. Bead super comfortable. Hotel right in downtown Auckland.

Fantastic with a great view! The shower is tiny and you get stuck in the corner but was clean. The bed was a very thin mattress so wasnt as comfortable as id have liked. Great place to stay though. Parking was convenient and easy.

Great stay at Barclay Suites. With reception open 24/7, our arrival at midnight was no hassle. Our room was spacious, clean and had a well equipped kitchen. The beds were ok and the suite was quiet - except for construction noise outside. Ensuite door and shower needed some TLC but otherwise would definitely recommend Barclay Suites for families staying in CBD.

These appartments are well located, staff were nice, helpful and efficient in their jobs but I had 2 rooms booked and they were both in need of a renovation, carpet was worn & tiles chipped on the kitchen floor. Beds were comfortable and clean.

It’s a No from Us
Stayed in tower suite. Spacious but lots of skimping on service, stayed 3 nights and our room wasn’t cleaned at all and we had to ask for facilities like coffee and clean towels. Reception seemed ambivalent. Road works outside the hotel were noisy at 6.30am. Bed linen and pillows low quality.

Property was fine clean and comfortable. Slight points off for the shower head being quite loose, but a minor complaint overall. Mark points down because the area is undergoing heavy roadworks and alterations at the moment not their fault but it made it difficult to find and get to the place with road closures. And Central city parking is extremely expensive.

Great five nights at the property . Location is central and very close to activities like the sky tower. Apartments were small but well equipped. Slightly noisy on the Friday and Saturday night due to nearby pubs but overall a great place to stay for a few days in the city. Will definitely return.

Barclay Residences is very convenient, the apartment was spacious with everything I needed: good bed, washer/dryer, small kitchen. Central location was useful although the area was not pretty or attractive. My only negative about the hotel was the appearance. Everything was grey, bland and dated.
