Great place to stay

The hotel itself, the grounds, gardens, and the pool were all very clean and well maintained. My only criticism is that the carpets were quite warn and should be replaced. The beds were very comfortable with good quality linens. The staff were all wonderful and as helpful as could be and the breakfast and dinner buffet were very reasonably priced when ordered with the room with a fresh omelet counter, fruit, yogurt, oatmeal etc. I would stay there again.

Nice garden /pool area but not enough lighting at night trying to get over to the corner junction. Very slow service at the bar due to only 1 staff person taking orders, payment & serving drinks as well! Same at reception. Similar pricing for eye fillet & hamburger???

Not "Excellent"

I'm not sure why this hotel was rated excellent. Maybe other rooms are better but the one that we got (located in tower 6 - two queen beds) was not the greatest. The AC unit made a buzzing sound loud enough that you cannot sleep, the bathtub tile grout had mildew/dark spots and made the bathroom seem unclean. The hallway carpet is in need of serious deep cleaning. It does offer convenience with its location to the airport and the room is spacious. Check in and check out were fine and quick. Overall, it was ok for 1 night but i would not rate this hotel as excellent. I was surprised since I've used holiday Inn many times before (different countries) and the standard was much better.

The hotel feels and looks like a resort. The staff is friendly and the service is great. We booked rooms with dinner included but checked in after the restaurant was closed due to a flight delay. The lady still managed to get us hot food for dinner through room service which gave the long day we've had a nice ending. The hotel has two floors but no elevator, they do offer to have the luggage brought up to 2nd floor which is nice. (we didn't need it.) The hotel is on the route of the Yellow bus from the airport which was convenient.

A nice place but the rooms are so dated and old. There was a lot of black mold in the shower, and the room had a lot of little things missing (no ironing board). The pool and fitness centre was nice

I loved staying here overnight. Beautiful garden with outdoor seating options. Enjoyed the bar , breakfast and dinning options offered. Appreciated the convenience of the bus to and from the airport for an inexpensive price of $8Nz. Great stay will use this hotel again upon my return to Auckland.
