We’ve stayed here multiple times, great part of the city, plenty around to see and do in a short walk, rooms are modern and beautiful, we drink at the bar, order room service, staff is top notch, nothing negative, you can use the pool and fitness area at sky city hotel next door and adjoins to the casino, can do early check in and late checkout, leave your baggage till your flight, so many good things I can say here

Horizon Hotel by Sky City in Auckland

The newest hotel of the three in the chain at Sky City. Absolutely beautiful hotel. We saved the best for last. Accommodations were outstanding. Front desk stored on luggage on the last day b/c we had a late flight. Even offered us to use the workout facility to shower before we left for the airport-a first for me. The Grill Restaurant at the hotel food and service gets a 5 star rating. Ir is now my place to stay in Auckland.

Loved the state of the art aesthetic and color palette of the entire place. The staff were phenomenal and beyond accommodating. The food could have used some improvement; I ordered the steak and expected there to be mashed potato with it, at the price cited. Also, it would have been nice to see lamb featuring on the menu.

Amazing stay! Miguel at concierge desk helped me locate documents that were left at the airport earlier in the morning. He went over and above to help me. So grateful for his help. The Hotel was amazing every thing was perfect till we left and I realised when I got home I’d left three items of clothing hanging up in the room wardrobe . When I called back was told only my husband jacket was there - my dress and jacket wasn’t there And I certainly didn’t have it -I know I’d forgotten to take them out of the wardrobe when repacking our bag . I’ve had the real run around trying to find the two items clearly they have house keeping issues!!! so a message to who ever is reading make sure you check you have everything before leaving any accomodation
