I stayed at the Legacy Airedale Hotel Auckland and was disappointed by the inconsistency and noise issues. The room was generally clean, but complimentary items weren’t restocked — the cocoa sachet and face wipes were only provided for the first two nights, even though I paid the same rate every night. The counter wasn’t wiped properly after cleaning, and the carpet didn’t seem thoroughly vacuumed. No slippers were provided either. The biggest issue was noise. My room (Classic Room, Level 4) was next to what sounded like an engine or generator, creating a constant loud buzzing all night. When I asked to move, reception said it required an upgrade fee — it felt like guests were being nudged to pay extra for quieter rooms. Sadly, I left sleep-deprived and disappointed. The hotel looks nice online, but the service inconsistency and poor soundproofing make it hard to recommend unless you’re willing to pay more for an upgraded room.

Nice large room with a surprise upgrade. We have stayed before on a number of occasions and our stay is always quiet and comfortable. The beds is comfortable. This was our first time in a room with a sink/fridge and small sitting area. Very nice if you are staying more than one night. We did note an odd smell in the bathroom from the shower drain but this dissipated after we ran some water.

We started off with a slight hygiene issue in our room and when we spoke to reception they upgraded us and moved us to a new room which was amazing. Hotel was beautiful and in a good location, walkable to lots of things. We stayed on a Fri & Sat night and it did get quite loud on the street overnight (we were street facing and 7 floors up) so would be mindful that you may not have the best sleep but not because of the hotel itself.

The hotel was located in a great area in Auckland CBD with very walkable shopping and food. Staff was very nice and knowledgeable. The room was extremely nice! The bed was in a separate section with sliding doors for privacy. The area next to the bedroom had nice seating, coffee bar, and closet. The bathroom had lots of amenities. There's washing machines and dryers on site which we took advantage of. The decor in the hallways was a very cool kind of 1950s noir look. Overall, really nice stay here and I would encourage others to stay here too!

Shoutout to Erelyn, Savita, & Kayla for making my stay pleasant. Lovely staff and lovely rooms. The condition of the hotel is excellent and the interior design is wonderful. I love the cleanliness of the entire property- from the room, the gym, and the lobby. The bed was very comfortable and the shower had great heat and pressure. I can definitely see myself staying here again.
