Checked in and got the wrong room, giving us one bed for four people. They were unable to accommodate us for any of the nights that we were there. They promised us certain things throughout our stay and did not communicate with staff to relay that information, so we had to have the same conversation over and over with staff just to be rejected each time.

Nice clean hotel. Comfortable bed. Friendly staff. Nice pool but no hot tub. Slow service in the restaurant but good breakfast. Not much live music or entertainment. There are 2 outdoor live music venues right beside this hotel that can make sleeping very difficult if you like to sleep before midnight. The hotel manager was very quick to find us a more quiet room though, so 5 points for that.

One night for college visit

The room was clean and the valet service was well organized. There was not a self park option. The hotel was in walking distance of fun things to do downtown. There was street noise and music late into the night, so not a quiet location. The air conditioner was loud, but it kept the room cool. The phone did not work in the room and it was difficult to reach the front desk for assistance on our mobile .

We went with our teenager to check out UT-Austin. The staff was very friendly (desk, restaurant, and valet). We were not expecting the high daily parking fee (valet only). We were able to walk to a lot of places. The restaurant was reasonably priced and tasty. There is a concert venue very nearby, so one night was quite loud. We were provided earplugs by the hotel. The air conditioner and mini fridge were a bit loud, but sleeping with the tv on drowned that out.
