Property well kept with nice, clean rooms and good bed. Breakfast decent, pretty much the 3 star hotel fare of scrambled eggs and chewy sausage patties, but a nice atmosphere. Pool about the size of a large jacuzzi…..without the jets, and only one out of two elevators serving 9 floors was operable during our entire stay, with no elevator repair personnel in sight, and a rather dated looking out of service sign on the inoperable elevator.

we loved the location, cleanliness, and the ability to street park for minimal cost. It was very loud both nights (a Saturday and a Sunday) from nearby Sixth Street music, we assumed. The only compliant was that we were there when one of the two elevators was down, and that was rough. VERY long waits for an elevator and often had to go all the way up/down before getting to your floor. BUT obviously one elevator was better than an accident on a faulty elevator. Just frustrating.

The location was perfect, close to campus and easy to navigate from the hotel. The room was clean, quiet, and well-maintained, with ample space for the family to spread out. Decent Stay but Needs Improvements I recently stayed at the Hyatt House in Austin and unfortunately, my experience didn’t quite meet expectations. I had specifically reserved a high-floor room, but we were not accommodated as requested. Additionally, only one elevator was operational during our stay, which led to long waits and frequent crowding—especially with maintenance and housekeeping staff also relying on the same elevator. The room itself was adequate, though not without issues. The barn-style bathroom door had no lock, it was broken - which felt like an oversight, and the floors were noticeably dusty. Nighttime noise from nearby music venues was audible, but thankfully the air conditioning created enough white noise to help with sleep. The TV was outdated—not a smart TV—so entertainment options were limited to standard cable. Common areas like the lobby and hallways were quite warm, adding to the discomfort during transit between floors. On a positive note, the valet service was prompt and efficient, and the front desk staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay. With a few key improvements—especially to elevator operations, cleanliness, and room amenities—this hotel could provide a much better experience.

The staff at the property are really great and very helpful, and I liked the breakfast as well. However the area feels a little isolated and not too safe, specially later in the night. Also, one of the elevators was not working and caused a lot of issues for all the guests, with me having to wait for more than half an hour to be able to leave while checking out.

Given the high star rating, I was expecting a bit more. Carpets in room were very dirty. Room touch ups were every other day which meant if you had any food trash it was a waiting game.beds were uncomfortable. Only one elevator was in service. Staff was where this property shined! A very nice place to stay! Right around the corner from the Mohawk and some other venues and restaurants. Staff was very helpful and friendly. Breakfast was better than most hotel breakfasts.
