Hotel is nice and lively. It’s a very young area, so the hotel feels geared toward the college crowd. The staff is excellent and the bed is super comfy. Loved sitting in the lobby bar and people watching.

The marble mystery
The Moxy is nestled in the University of Texas. Pretty cool area honestly. However, the AC doesn’t work. So be mindful when staying during the heat. Also, their cleaning staff attempts to make every possible noise to wake you up, sounded like they were throwing marbles around the room. The stay would have been fantastic if we could just actually get sleep like we wanted to.

The property is close to resturants and UT campus but there is also bars and homeless people all around. It can get loud at night but overall the hotel location is great and very clean.

Parking limitation not disclose except in message after booking. No unloading zone at hotel. Had to park two blocks away and walk back to hotel with luggage. Staff was rude when questioned about this. Refused go add to Marriott rewards. She attempted make me sign for room charges/incidentals instead of placing hold. She gave me the room keys with some token inside with no explanation what it was for or hours for bar/taco stand. Advertised that taco restaurant available. It is a stand were you order on a kiosk and then they make tacos. Limited seating available. Not a restaurant. Room was smaller than advertised with poor layout. Not sure why toilet is in a seperate room but shower stall is steps from bed and is made of frosted glass. Separated from bed area only by curtain. Bedding was not Marriott quality. Rough sheets and mattress was thin/worn out. Felt like I was sleeping on platform. Positives are good soap and shampoo choice in room,location is close to campus, Restaurants near are good and good bar scene in neighborhood. They should offer valet parking and fix the listing to disclose the parking situation and restaurant situation and not rely on a message to disclose after booking.
