Super clean room! Hotel has a very convenient free shuttle service from 7AM to 9:45PM. It's a gray Toyota Sienna that seats 5 max btw. Pool is open until 9PM and gym is open until 10PM! They have board games at the lobby you can check out and a ping pong table you can use near their restaurant. The location is about a 15 min walk uphill from Avalon, not bad! They can't hold luggage unfortunately, so if you get to Catalina early in the day and have extra bags, use Avalon Blue Line Baggage near the docks. They charge $10 for small bags and $13 for large suitcases to be held all day until they close at 7PM. It's $4 surcharge for each bag held overnight just FYI.

Super convenient given there is a shuttle. The shuttle drops offs/picks up from the docks and downtown through the entire day. The shuttle driver (Jose) and hotel staff had lots of recommendations for visitors. Definitely planning on returning.

Overall a nice hotel, beautifully located on top of a hill, away from the town center. A van was available to bring guests to and from the waterfront, and the lobby staff was friendly and cordial. The one note is about the cleanliness, and room service skipped refreshing our room until 5pm, when they knocked to ask if we needed anything. We got towels and changed the trash receptacles. They could really do a better job cleaning, and that might take care of the annoyance of ants crawling all over.

Poor service and quality.

The two beds squeaked and were on a metal frame resembling a rollup bed with terrible mattress. I paid for three people and the two terrible beds in the room were full size not queen. We asked for coffee cartridges for the coffee machine and they arrived 24 hours later. Staff was yelling at their own workers. When checking out no one asked how was your stay? Poor service, poor hospitality and poor bed condition. The hotel is on a hill for from Avalon. We walked up with our luggage not knowing there was a shuttle. This should have been made more clear in the check-in instructions. We will not stay there again.

Front desk was helpful, always with a smile. Resort was clean our room was clean but there was a strange odor in our room we couldn’t place where it was coming from. Upon our check out my husband was checking through everything and we finally realized where the fishy odor was from. The microwave. Little cleaning after each guest leaves would help with a lingering smells that might have been left from the previous guest. Other than this the hotel was a great choice to.also a bit more detail to the food being that the cost of it was pricey and what we ordered was not at all edible.

Excellent location. Its best tradeoff between being in quiet place and really not far from everything. Modern hotel with friendly stuff. Swimming pool is priceless since there is no place to swim in Avalon.
