Be prepared to have patience

Arrived to check in at 6pm, we waited 50 minutes in a queue before being able to check in. The queue at the bar to be served was equally as long. Room was tiny and in the roof. During summer months is unbearably hot. The reception did provide a fan on the second night.

It was really good but check in is terrible they dont check in till dead on 3 which means big ques so the guest miss half their nite they need 2 address that if they staggered as they came in booked them in put the keys aside ready then hand them out

It is a great place plenty 2 do 4 kids nice pub areas so we decided 2 stay another nite the small double is small the check in was a nightmare as in ques we were lucky got there early but the ques were long n ages 2 go through

Short stay

The hotel has been open for quite a while, and bedrooms could do with a slight upgrade but not much. Alll the staff were excellent, professional and friendly particularly Andrei at the pool area. The hotel has a lot of activities including 2 pools which are terrific.

Bed was terrible, really hard. Uncomfortable temperature and Ben with radiators turned off and windows wide open. Room was dirty, cleaned certainly did not pull out bedside cabinets prior to our stay to clean as there was grape branches and petals behind it

The keycard needed to be inserted in the door lock faster than your average hotel room. Like dipping a rich tea biscuit into a hot brew. That fast. Not realising this, I had to walk back to reception twice as I thought the key card they gave me wasn’t working. I had a single room and the mattress wasn’t great. The springs were digging into my back. Staff were okay. Pleasant enough.

Bizarre late check-in experience for our one night stay last night. We had reserved and expected to pay on arrival, arriving quite late for a business trip. On check in, I asked about paying and booking in for breakfast and was told this wasn’t possible until tomorrow. We accepted this and headed to our room. We were then disturbed in our room just before 2am by the receptionist, who demanded that we hadn’t paid and we had to come to reception (in our PJs) but didn’t wait around for us to join him. Went up and paid so all sorted - but a totally, totally bizarre experience having stayed at Coylumbridge for both business and pleasure in the past. I use hotels extensively for work and have never encountered this when selecting a ‘pay on arrival’ option! Staff the following morning were brilliant by contrast and we had an enjoyable morning enjoying the Sauna and breakfast before checking out. Basic but comfortable room, generous breakfast and a well maintained hotel.

Cut my finger on the broken window latch while opening my window. Caught my shirt on sharp metal when leaving my room. I could barley fit inside the shower. The lights were faulty and worked only off one switch The place was so terrible that we didn't even stay for our whole duration. PLEASE AVOID! Its just a knock off that is trying to imitate the establishment down the road. Do not stay

Love this place

Landed by chance in this fabulous hotel. Couldn't make it home so had to stay somewhere. Got a last minute deal late in the evening. I had time for a couple of pints in the big wooden lodge style building accessed via a wooden bridge. Great singer entertaining. Whole hotel is set in forest but 60 seconds from main road to Cairngorms. Bus stop at entrance. Next time I stay I'll be bring my wife and dogs. They'd love it here.

If you’re staying longer than a night be warned the rooms in the annex are small I’ve been in bigger jail cells. myself and small child just about got into the queen bed. And not even a lamp in the room. The place if so big. It’s a well oiled machine. We stayed and included the half board option. I must say the food in the buffet style restaurant was well worth the money. WELL DONE TO THE COOKS AND waiting STAFF
