I spent the first night in a room that the hotel later admitted was not intended for guests, but for staff. The room was old, dirty, smelled strongly of cigarette smoke, and was completely different from the room I had booked. It was unacceptable and ruined the beginning of my stay. Only after I complained did the hotel move me to another room the following day. No guest should ever be placed in a staff room and charged for the room they actually booked. This experience caused significant inconvenience and disappointment, and I cannot recommend this hotel based on the way this situation was handled.

Very clean and comfortable room. Bed was very good. Everyone was friendly and most helpful! Breakfast buffet is fresh, including hot and cold items. It was a very positive experience!

Metropole is a great hideaway. It is close to all of the nightlife that Old Town has to offer. I would definitely recommend.

Metropole Apartments in Bucharest’s Old Center had a pretty old looking urban exterior and lobby area, but the room itself was clean and very spacious with kitchen appliances and washer. There are no onsite hosts to meet and greet, one is provided codes to enter into the building and to their room. There are a couple of cafes nearby and not in a busy area.

The customer service is non existent at this property, I got water for a day and the washer machine leaking. Do NOT waste your money. Never stay there again!
