Staff were very friendly, but property is dated and very basic, good launch point for the Cabot Trail though. Breakfast was included but was also very basic.
It was in a convenient location for us and people were very kind and accommodating. The room itself was clean but very outdated and in need of some upgrades.
Location is beautiful! Staff were nice and courteous.
The room was sized reasonably, bed was good, washroom was cleaned but needs an upgrade. The sink was a little clogged; water pressure was excellent in the shower but be careful of the sudden change in the temperature (too hot, plumbing needs to be revisited).
As far as breakfast is concerned, I think it was acceptable. It would be nice to have variety but it is also understood that we were not in the big city. No fruits but we loved the coffee!
Overall, our visit was a great experience.
The room was clean but extremely outdated. The bed was not attached to the headboard it kept rolling away from the wall while you were in it. The pillows were so thin there was only two on a bed we woke up we could not move our necks. There were four of us staying in a room with two double beds we were only given two bath towels two hand towels and two face cloths. My daughter said had no sheet on the bottom just a mattress cover when she picked up the phone that was in the room to call the phone did not work. We found the number and called on her cell phone and she put in a complaint she was very polite and she said she would wait until the next day to get the sheet on the bed so her and my granddaughter slept on top of the blankets. She asked why there was a phone in the room and it didn't work he never gave an answer for that. The next morning we decided after waking up from a horrible sleep we did not want to stay there another night so my daughter called the gentleman at front desk and asked very politely if we could have a refund due to the condition of the room the pillows and the condition we were in when we woke up. He was very argumentative with my daughter refused to listen to her spoke over her and refused a refund. So we did not want to throw away the $200 for the one night we spent on the room so we decided okay we will stay just the one more night because we had plans of touring around the island that day. the breakfast buffet was horrible warm water and warm
The breakfast was so poor we skipped it the 2nd day. Staff not very welcoming and shared no info on local events and places of history (which abound in Baddeck).
They need to become true innkeepers if they are going to make it in Baddeck.
Super endroit!

We spent two nights there and it’s very close to great restaurant. This is a great place to stay if you plan to drive around cabot trail. We found Alec Bell museum nearby the crown jewel of the town and night stroll after dinner around the lake very relaxing.
This property needs serious renovations and upgrades otherwise it's is at a very nice, convenient location overlooking river. Also needs to improve breakfast menu.
The beds were comfortable.
The room was very musty smelling when we arrived, we aired it out and sprayed.
I believe the rooms at the top have been done up. Maybe they will do the others soon, hopefully. The staff were all very friendly and helpful.

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service
The rooms furnishings were tired and a few simple upgrades would have improved the accommodations dramatically.
