Silver Dart was very comfortable especially the bed. I think the owners would agree that the units could do with some upgrades especially on decor and furnishings. However, our stay was pleasant and the staff were always friendly and helpful when required.

The property is spread out over a large area so there’s lots of green space. They even had a walking path in the back. Only problem was the air conditioning unit was all fan no cooling. Buffett breakfast was similar to mast hotels. Older units but are being upgraded. I would sure stay again.

Disappointing food

The hotel and rooms are good, with lovely lake views and lots of outside seating to enjoy the sunshine The food in the restaurant was poor which is a shame as the views over the lake are superb. Staff would benefit from some training, our main course was brought to the table when we were still eating our starters and we had to juggle the plates to fit everything on the table. It could be so much better! Would eat in Baddeck next time as there were some lovely restaurants

We were there pre-summer. The place and town were a bit sleepy, but we managed to find good restaurants in town that were great and open. This hotel is more on the rustic side, but it has all the amenities you need, to include a small fridge. We did not try the restaurant on-site, not even sure if it was open. TV had very few channels and internet was spotty for us.

The Lodge is an older property but has the modern conveniences and has very large comfortable rooms. The views of the water are the main highlight. Enjoyed our stay.
