The staff were really nice, the house is old and cool looking but there were a couple of things that really weren't acceptable. First, there was no deadbolt/chain to secure the door from the inside, which is unheard of in any decent hotel. The bed was pretty uncomfortable and squeaked a lot. Also, the walls seemed paper thin, I was awoken by the people next door having a shower. It sounded like Niagara Falls. For $250+ a night, I would expect a deadbolt for security, a reasonably quiet bed and a minimum of insulation. I've stayed in worse, the balcony was quite awesome and, even though the room was small, it did the trick. For this price, you could do better, I think. But I could be wrong on that.
