The hotel was clean and rooms are large and quite nice. The staff was very nice. The area in general didn't feel unsafe but was just run down. Quite a few homeless people and the town itself appeared to be barely surviving. The pool of the hotel had two gates which were not locked from outside people. When we went to the pool, it was dirty, lots and lots of dead bees along with other floating objects (we did not feel comfortable swimming in it) and a group of people hanging out that were not staying in the hotel. They were locals.

We arrived late at night. While my husband and I were checking in, a 'security' person approached our vehicle with our young daughter inside and very rudely said that she needed to leave if she wasn't a guest of the hotel. It was very scary to her and completely inappropriate given that our car had been parked for just five minutes. He was very strange and continued to harass my husband after that. We would have left immediately had we not already paid for the room. BEWARE - super sketchy!

All I can say is excellent across the board!!! Breakfast was amazing and variety too! They even gave us a comb and tooth brushes since we stayed last minute unprepared.. Not to mention staff was awesome and welcoming we are definitely going to be back!!
