Needed to stop over in Bakersfield coming home after a Memorial Day trip. The Padre Hotel was a pleasant surprise. The hotel has a very nice ambiance, the staff was very friendly and accommodating. The room was clean and comfortable and wel appointed. The food was very good and reasonably priced for a hotel.

BEST Hotel in downtown-great for romance

This is the best hotel with great customer service, comfort, character, nice amenities and clean. No pool and rooftop bar is not actually THE rooftop…and only open on TH-SU. I believe they’ve taken all measures to make sure this is no longer a party hotel. To the point where things close up a bit early. But this hotel is so adorable and the staff is super friendly. They will go out of their way for you. I highly recommend this hotel is the best hotel in Bakersfield

This property looks appealing from the pictures but the surrounding area is unmatched. The rooms seemed rather small for a higher end hotel. The hallways felt way too humid. The best part about their hotel services were the valet Parking attendants they were extremely thoughtful helpful and friendly! I know I seen that other customers were upset for the fee of valet parking but we actually thought it was very inexpensive for the treatment we received.

The hotel was beautiful. The room was beautiful. The problem was the THUMPING disco music coming from a nearby club. My husband got dressed and went to the lobby at about 1:15 am and was offered ear plugs or be moved to another room. We were told the hotel was completely booked so how can they offer another room??? I was trying to sleep with pillows over both ears for hours. The music finally stopped at about 1:45 but we were both so ticked off we couldn't even then go to sleep. The next morning, when checking out, we were told that we signed a waiver regarding noise in the area. Well if the waiver had said "there might be LOUD THUMPING disco music till 2:00 am - a lot like Water Torture" we wouldn't have stayed there. Padre Hotel has a big, big problem. I have never rated a hotel before, but this was the worst hotel stay I've ever had.
