My husband and I stayed in the La Quinta Inn for 10 days. I chose La Quinta because it was accessible to grocery stores and shopping and our room was located at the 5th floor. For the entire duration of our stay, the elevator was out of service. We have to carry our heavy luggages and other things using the stairs. The stairs in going to our room always smelled marijuana. The person in the help desk in the morning was not friendly and approachable. However the person in the kitchen who prepared breakfast was friendly. The cleaning service ladies were friendly and approachable as well.

Wow I don’t know who’s problem this is for lack of transparency. I got here after driving a long long night and I’m informed of deposits and fees for my dog which I was transparent about in my booking so I assumed it was charged. No need more transparency. My heating/AC unit was not working offered me a 4th or 5th floor unit with no working elevator, took the no heating room the latch lock on door broken. I believe some full transparency is needed up front. My room is in the middle of breakfast room so it’s LOUD this morning.

This was our second time staying at this hotel and we enjoyed our stay. We will call to see if the elevator is working before we book. We had to climb 5 flights of stairs to our room, thankfully we packed light.

I stayed here 5 years ago and had no complaints. I picked this hotel based off prior experience, and it has drastically declined. Immediately upon walking in, the lobby reeks of cigarette smoke. We were not informed prior, after calling, that the elevator was out of service, leaving us to climb 3 floors. I contacted the hotel prior to arriving, asking if a hair dryer was in the room. I was informed every room has a hair dryer, yet we did not have one. Upon looking for said hair dryer, we found prior occupants personal belongings. Which I found rather disgusting. The floor area upon walk in and within the bathroom area was sticky, which was disturbing. The hallway of our floor smelled strongly of cigarettes and weed, as well as “spices.” Luckily, the air conditioning worked which cleared out the room while we were gone. Check in was very unpleasant; it did not feel welcoming or homely. I made a comment about the elevator issue, which was ignored. Upon finding prior guests belongings, all I was provided was a “sorry for the inconvenience.” We went to fill our ice bucket, and found the only ice machine is on the lobby floor, and no elevator made it difficult to get ice. The hotel room carpets were torn in multiple areas, the walls had spots and tears all over, and it just felt neglected. This hotel did not feel like we were welcomed, cared for, or safe. I will never stay here again. If I wasn’t hours away from home, and had more time to search, I would have moved.

Good start, terrible night.

Our arrival was fine and the check in outstanding the desk clerk was very nice she accommodated our request for a lower level room due to our health restrictions and the elevator being non functioning. Then after my wife and I turned in for the evening around 0330am -0405 there was an altercation between another guest and trespasser a loud thumping the wife screaming for her spouse tto stop a child started crying the police finally arrived the individual got away. From that moment on my wife was frightened and I was very concerned due to the possibility of an escalation in the violence and the following morning i advised the desk clerk that we would be checking out before our initial day and wanted a refund because we didn't feel safe at all and we are retired police and federal officer and thus is unacceptable for us to stay. Again kudos to the desk clerk who checked us in.
