The most stunning building. Rooms are a bit tired as are the halls etc, but it was very clean. Very efficient and friendly check in. The food in the bar was excellent.
Second stay in this Hotel and room allocated was nicely modernised and appealing. Nice relaxed chill in the bar with some ViP guests and also Top Gear India BBC filming with an Aston Martin in the morning what could be better, would stay again in same room quality.
Lovely old hotel with loads of character in a very pretty town excellent location rooms are old but very well maintained and appointed the gardens are beautiful. Parking plentiful BUT access is very tight for large vehicles. Really nice breakfast. I believe the hotel is currently under refurbishment one this has been completed would rate higher.
I checked in the hotel for a 2 night stay after a very long day at work. I ended up staying the first night, as i had no other choice. I was too tired to leave, and i was 2h away from home.
The room was disgusting. Does not match the company website at all. It smelt awful - stale, mouldy smell. The bathroom was filthy and the toilet did not flush. Avoid at all cost.
I did speak to the receptionist, who was a very nice lady, who understood my complaint and apologised. I informed her that I rather travel 2h home and back again the next morning, then stay there another night.
Management - sort it out.
The hotel is a little dated and clearly needs more work doing. I waited a long time for someone to come to the reception desk for check in and felt the service could have been a lot better.
