I got the first impression that this hotel is really bad, was when the handle on the shower fell off. From there it was just downhill. The air-conditioning is so loud that you don't hear the road noise. I and my son was asked to move rooms after the first night, so the hotel can fix the floor. Why did the hotel put us there in the first place if they knew we had to move. To an even worse room. The door lock was broken. The safes in the rooms were broken. There is no hot water in one rooms shower and no hot water in the sink of the other room. This hotel was once really nice but no maintenance has been done. There are better hotels for the same price.

Bad hotel in Bandung city

this is the worst hotel I have ever stayed in the middle of Bandung city. I really regret having chosen this hotel for my weekend trip with friends. I booked 2 rooms at this hotel. However, the condition of the 2 rooms we stayed in was very far from expectations. the cleanliness and comfort of the rooms is very far below what it should be for a 3 star hotel. the rooms are not equipped with mini bar facilities. in the bathroom there is no proper bath soap available. there is only 1 small bar of soap that can only be used by one person to shower. The shower and sink faucets were worn out making them difficult to use. The drain in the bathroom was also clogged, so the water from bathing pooled in the bathroom all the way to the bottom of the toilet. A bathroom with marble walls and floors that should feel comfortable and luxurious, turns out to be disgusting. because the marble walls and floors were not cleaned properly, so many parts were black and mossy. The bed sheets and blankets should also be replaced because they have lots of disgusting stains. The room I stayed in also felt very noisy during the day and at night. There were banging sounds from the top floor which served as a function room. The crashing noises really disturbed my rest. The room I stayed in also didn't have a proper view out. The window faces the center of the building's roof. The room corridor also looks dark and gloomy with a damp smell and feels stuffy. The carpet in the corridor also looks rotten.

Hotel without swimming pool, not good.

A little bit argue about hospitality with restaurants staff. The waitress in the restaurant have not really nice attitude. The breakfast also not so good taste. And not varieties breakfast.

On the down side, we were quite disappointed that the towels got stains, so luckily we brought our own towels. The bed got few strains of hair. We had to remove them manually one by one. On the good side, our room was clean though, so we are ok with it. I opted to stay at Serela Riau because of it's close proximity to the factory outlets and food. It's centrally located and has free parking.

I confirm chosing no window, since it was the cheapest they have for a night stay. For a four star hotel, as claimed, I was pretty sure about it until...we entered room 208. Dammed! Air conditioned was absolute noisy! The room feels dampish and smells like fungus, lightingd were too dimmed, and what makes it dammed complete was the linking water all over the bathroom floor from the toilet flush which keeps on running. And that day, I had to apologize to my family for bad recommendation.

Nice hotel on the main road of Bandung

Good price. The check in and out were quick/efficient, no fuss. Staff including parking staff were friendly and helpful. The restaurant and kiosk were handy, good food and reasonable prices. The ATM machine outside the hotel was convenient. I enjoyed my stay for sure. Thanks, Tenny

Choose Serela Merdeka, not Serela Riau.

The owners of the hotel must cherish their staff. They are the ones who have to face guests' grievances because Serela Riau rooms are falling apart. Power points dont work, electric kettle is faulty, air-conditioning is noisy and rooms need refurbishing. Great showers, house-keeping, guest relations and front office staff. Compared to Serela Merdeka, Serela Riau needs to catch up in terms of rooms' facilities.

Overall, we enjoyed the stay in this hotel as the front office staff has been very helpful. Guide us on our questions well like how to get to city tour and etc. This hotel is walking distance to nearby factory outlet, so get to all the shopping as you love. Hope they will maintain this good service and continue offering good rate. Upon arrival if you have any concern in terms of reaching to hotel. You may drop them an email asking for a pick up.

Great Location & friendly staff.

My whole family truely enjoyed our stay. Great location for foods & shopping. I'll be visiting this hotel again in the near future. On the day before we depart, my dad fall sick. He seek assistant from front desk & the staff accompany him to the hospital. Great job by all staff.

I went Grand Serela Riau Bandung for four nights (November, 9 - 11). Booked this hotel online for family vacation at Bandung. Since I read at Hotel Review this hotel had provide an airport transfer to hotel, I was e-mailed the hotel admin to orderthat facilities. Nicely, the hotel admin was reply my e-mail to confirm that service. I sent my flight itinerary to them. On arivel, we ware welcomed by hotel's driver at the airport. On the day we want back to KL, the hotel was paid our taxi to the airport because the driver on other duty. I felt happy with their responsibilities with us. Hotel interior is nice but the room are bleakest especially on the night (not enough light). No ironing facilities, we need to send our cloths to hotel laundry & have charges. Hotel provided a free breakfast. Nice breakfast with verity kind of food. But almost same menu on our four days stayed. Overall, I give highly recommended to others on this Grand Serela Riau Bandung. Nice staff & good commitment to their guests. Thank you to all hotel's staffs.

Only good for its location

The customer service was horrible even before the start of the stay. I had emailed them regarding the free airport shuttle but didn't get a reply. Then, I called them and was told that everything was in order but upon arrival, my friend and I waited close to half an hour for the pick up to call (after calling them several times again). They had the cheek to tell me that I didn't arrange for it! Then they took time finding us a room, which was old and its tap was about to come out of the sink. Only the location close to the factory outlets made the choice worthwhile,
