The property is very dated and rundown. The rooms smelled like stale cigarette's, the furniture had stains on it, the carpet had burn holes. The parking situation is terrible. The staff, however, were very friendly and helpful.

It was so busy in Banff and we couldn't find parking. The hotel provided us with bus passes and the bus stop was right beside the resort. Sitting on the deck to have morning coffee was beautiful. It was nice to have the hot tub also. The rooms are lovely, clean and the shampoo/conditioner are from a local company, which is great.

It was a great stay. The receptionist was very helpful, giving us insights on places to visit - even suggesting other spots we hadn’t planned on, which was a great heads-up for tourists. They also shared tips on how to get there, as well as nearby restaurant recommendations. The only downside was the parking, which felt a bit like “anything goes.” It would be nice if each room had a designated parking space in front of it.

Several stair steps down to the entrance of our room, and the landing at front door entrance was very dirty. Two Adirondack chairs in front yard afforded a beautiful view, however cigarette butts all around them looked trashy. Interior was dated, and noise from condo above was annoying. For the high price, didn’t see the value.

Do not say here. Upon entering our unit, we were greeted with the overpowering stench of smoke. The units have wood burning fireplaces. Being small, the fireplaces are probably unable to direct much smoke up the chimney. Anyone using them is essentially building an open fire in their living room. We didn’t try. Any luggage you bring will be permeated with the smell of smoke. The first floor units are basically walk out basements. You will likely have one small window in the bedroom. For privacy, you’ll want to keep the curtains pulled as anyone passing on the sidewalk will have a direct line of sight. The electric lighting in the units is depressingly dim. The carpet in the bedroom was also damp, likely due to moisture leaching from the underground floor. That’s a great recipe for mold. The view from our walkout patio was almost nonexistent. You wouldn’t realize there were mountains if you didn’t know you were in Banff. Space was also extremely limited. There was barely enough room to open two suitcases and there was no storage. There was a small alcove that might hold two jackets. This place is way overpriced for what it offers. We chose to bail after one night. The only positive I can note are the staff who seemed genuinely concerned about our complaints and worked with Expedia to quickly refund our remaining days. That said, while checking out at the front desk another guest was launching a list of complaints. They must deal with this a lot.

The property has a beautiful view around the pool and offers a complimentary transit pass, which makes getting into town easy. While the building is a bit dated and could be cleaner, the temperature at night is comfortable even without AC. However, cell reception and Wi-Fi are very limited. We called the front desk to report the poor Wi-Fi connection, and the receptionist said she would call back—but we never heard back.

The setting is beautiful, family friendly, & out of the crowds of busy downtown Banff. You can take the Roam bus right from the property to town. We had a family of 8 - 4 Adults, 4 big teens. It fit our family, it’s TIGHT for lounge space but met our needs for game nights, grilling & quick breakfasts. It also had laundry in the unit. Overall, our specific unit was tired & in desperate need of refreshing. Wallpaper peeling, cracked tiles, ceiling & walls need painting & scrubbing. Carpet tiles need to be replaced. Staff were helpful! Would we stay here again, yes. Just note that’s it’s in desperate need of renovations.

I feel people should know that this property is in dire need of deep cleaning and updating. I was stunned by the poor quality of the accommodations, especially relative to the price we paid. The carpet was filthy with huge stains all over it. The walls and doors were full of grime that could have been cleaned, but clearly has not been. Everything is extremely dated and old. I'm sure the unit has not been remodeled in decades and only cleaned at a surface level. Additionally, there is no temperature control in the summer unless you want to open ground floor windows, which does not feel safe overnight. Further, both windows were unlocked when we arrived, which we would not have known had we not opened them for a few minutes of fresh air. We spent as little time in the room as possible, which was disappointing since this was meant to be a nice break from an extended camping trip. On top of everything else, we returned to our room being unlocked -- front door not fully closed -- after being gone all day. The person who came to clean did not take the time to properly close the front door. I would not expect any of these problems for a hotel at this price point, even in an expensive city. We tried to cancel the second night of our reservation due to the negative experience, but did not receive any help from the property or Expedia. Both representatives said it was up to the other party, which just added to the frustration.
