Staff were friendly enough. The room we stayed in was okay. There wasn’t even a water bottle or filtered water in the room. The remote for the TV didn’t work unless you were close to the TV. The water pressure was alright in the shower. It had nice unlimited hot water. Oh and they have ice machine in the lobby area.

Sadly the room we were appointed was not very nice. We asked to see another room and they gave us a choice of two more, but they were even worse. We had to pay an upgrade charge in order to get a decent room. Pool was not open and there are no eating options so we had to leave the hotel for those. Overall poor experience. While in Banff we checked out other hotels to stay in on our next visit.

The lodge was in walking distance of some very good restaurants. The hallways are kinda dark with some nice light. It supposed to give off a lodge vibe but comes off a bit creepy due to the dirty ceilings in the hallways and in the room. It could use a small renovation to update the ceiling and flooring and that vibe would totally change. Otherwise a clean hotel with nice staff.

Very quiet rooms with everything you need for a stay in Banff. Nice mountain views. Staff was very courteous and attentive. Underground parking is a plus in the winter. Coffee and tea available in the room and in the lobby next to a nice roaring fire. Will look forward to trying the newly refurbished pool next time we return.
