I had a great time at the Elk Avenue. The location was perfect for sightseeing and shopping around the town of Banff. There were tons of options for dining, too. The staff was super friendly and helpful, especially Jozette. She gave me several fabulous recommendations for hiking and sightseeing to make the most of my few days in the area. The property even has bear spray that guests can borrow! Parking was a bit limited, but I was able to find a spot each evening. I would definitely stay here again if I am ever lucky enough to get back to Banff.

I give 1 star because the staff dismissed my disappointment that the hot tub area was closed for renovations. She said "the closure is listed on the website and on the Expedia listing. Also you got an email saying it is closed." When I booked there was nothing about the hot tub being closed, and I have reviewed the emails I recieved, and there is no mention of this closure. I would not be so bothered by the closure if she heard my concern instead of just telling me I'm wrong. Dismissive staff make for 1 star.
