The best part about this property were the staff. They front desk ladies were very kind and ready to answer our questions and generally, be of help. Parking was easy. The room and washroom itself were very simple for the cost. Theres no elevator and most rooms are on the second floor so travelling light would be best.

On Day 1 of our 7-day stay, I was prepared to give the hotel a low rating due to some inconveniences (which, in the grand scheme of things, turned out to be minor). The hotel's charm grew on us during our stay, to the point that we will book here again when we return to Banff. The location is very convenient to downtown, without being in the middle of the downtown chaos. The restaurant is fantastic--we ate there twice for dinner and once for brunch. The hotel and restaurant staff were very pleasant and helpful. The king-size bed in our room was very comfortable, and we had an amazing view of the town and mountains from our room and the accompanying deck, where we would enjoy morning coffee and afternoon drinks. The hotel has e-bikes that you can rent for free, and we had a great time utilizing them. We also enjoyed the hot tub a few times. There was plenty of parking available each time we returned to the hotel at the end of each day. Looking forward to future stays at The Juniper.

The concierge was phenomenal. Helped us with complimentary maps, shuttle service, bear spray, and e-bikes. We loved coming back and lounging in our robes, enjoying wine and the hot tub, after a long day of hiking. Hotel Juniper offers the BEST views of the mountains.

The beds are comfortable & the hotel is a short drive to downtown Banff. Beautiful, quiet area. Outdoor hot tub faces mountain views and looks great. We found the family suite (room 221) needs more lights- too dark in the evening. The shared bathroom isn't between the two bedrooms, as typical, but off the main bedroom, which isn't ideal. There is also no shared living space in this suite. The room could use an update. There are ebikes available (we didn't have time to use them), but note that an activity fee is added to your room regardless.

The rooms were quiet and comfortable and had excellent views of the mountain (either direction). We very much enjoyed the amenities, including the free ebikes(!), the hot tub that overlooked the valley, and the restaurant with some of the best views in Banff. Would go back all over again. Great option if you want to be away from the crowds and bike/walk into town!

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel! The room was spotless and well-maintained, with every detail taken care of. The view from my window was absolutely stunning, making my stay even more relaxing and enjoyable. I also loved the fresh, pleasant scent throughout the hotel—it added to the welcoming and comfortable atmosphere. Overall, it was a delightful experience, and I would definitely stay here again!

The property is adjacent to Trans-Canada Highway; traffic noise all night. The queen beds sank in the middle and seemed worn out. The bathroom tub/ shower/sink were dirty our entire stay. Room perimeter very dusty on carpet and tile. Bistro closed one morning for a special event w/1 hr window to eat; 2 dinners were fine; 1 breakfast was cold by the time it was served. The staff were very kind. We did receive fresh towels daily.

Not worth $500 per night!

I am sorry but this place is not worth $500 a night. I understand it does have a great restaurant but I did not even eat there. The hotel room is old and dated and plain jane. There was never anyone at the desk. It is like staying in an older worn out motel - not hotel. Disappointed.

Delightful hotel!

Beautiful setting conveniently close to Banff, yet far enough away to be peaceful, and the shuttle into the town was very handy. I particularly loved that there were bathrobes, not just towels, and all the staff were helpful and friendly.
