A very nice hotel which is showing its age in places. Overall a very enjoyable place to stay but at $1100 a night I think there’s better value elsewhere.

Rimrock did not meet our expectations!
This hotel stay was disappointing! It’s way over priced for the condition of this hotel. Our room overlooked a generator room n floor 9. The room is extremely dated with brown carpet, poor decorating and lighting. The main areas were nice but I wouldn’t call this luxury hotel! The only positive is the location and view from the main areas. There was poor communication in regards to shuttles to downtown. They cancelled the shuttles because n the afternoon leaving our family running to catch public transit up the street or we would have missed our dinner reservations in town. The ownership needs to invest money into this hotel as it needs help everywhere! There are better hotels in Banff that are much less money! I would not recommend this hotel and we travel allot and stay in many luxury hotels. Sorry Rimrock we won’t be back!

Hotel facility itself was a bit outdated but the classic atmosphere was great during holiday season. Pretty close walking distance to the public hotspring and close to Gondola. A bit far away from downtown area was a downside but worth to stay to enjoy the mountain view

This is a beautiful hotel, in major need of renovations however. The shower/tub wouldn’t drain properly and door frames/walls need painting, carpet showing its age. Beds comfortable and view was great. Staff was excellent. Parking per day was pretty pricey .. overall 7/10

Our stay at the Rimrock Resort was overall pleasant, with some thoughtful touches, but there were notable areas for improvement. The staff was professional and attentive, which we greatly appreciated. A highlight of our stay was the complementary dessert they provided to celebrate our anniversary—a thoughtful gesture that added a special touch to the trip. Additionally, they arranged a car to pick us up from the gondola, which was both convenient and appreciated. However, the dining experiences were disappointing. Service at the restaurant was extremely slow—we waited 20 minutes after being seated without any acknowledgment from staff and eventually decided to leave. Room service was also problematic, taking 90 minutes to arrive, and the order was incorrect. While the hotel did comp the bill, the delay and mix-up were frustrating. The pool and spa area, unfortunately, didn’t meet expectations either. While the facilities are indoors, the area was overcrowded and full of children, making it far from the relaxing environment we had hoped for. On the brighter side, the provided robes were a nice touch and added a bit of comfort to the experience. While there were moments where the Rimrock Resort shone, the slow service and crowded amenities detracted from the overall experience. With a few adjustments, it could truly live up to its potential as a standout destination in Banff.

We loved tg Rimrock. We stayed there as it was xmas week and we wanted all the xmas decorations and the xmas feelings. The staff were polite not at all pushy. The room was a decent size and we were a family of 3 and it never felt crowded. The views were stunning.
