Spacious and comfortable
I would have to give 10 out of 10 for my stay. The room was spacious. I loved that it had a settee in and two chairs so I didn't have to just sit on the bed. There were plenty of plugs. It was easy to blowdry my hair because of convenience of mirrors and plugs. The tv worked well and I was able to get YouTube. The bathroom was a good size and not awkward to use. I used every area of the hotel dining on the 17 floor with great views and on the 23 floor. The ground floor offered economical dinning plus a Starbucks close at hand. I would highly recommend this hotel but remember you are in an older part of town and older building. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. If you want to see all the cultural buildings and temples this is a good base to go from with plenty of taxi and tuk tuk. Just half a point off. The pool is not as it seems on picture and it more just a plung pool or large spa. So don't come to sit around a pool. Other than that as I said top marks. Thankyou for a great stay.

A unique hotel on the edge of the Chinatown Night Market area. Near to riverboat transportation. Great breakfast room. Beds were very comfortable. The staff was always available if we needed anything.

A great old hotel. Great breakfast options. Room was clean and well maintained. Great location. Concierge always helpful. Front desk great. Pool was great with a beautiful view of the city. Not far from the water taxis to take you to the shrines or to an amazing shopping mall. Very near the night market areas with good restaurants nearby too.

Grand China was a really good value for our stay. Staff do a great job and this is a fun neighborhood within Bangkok with great & inexpensive food options - including vegan. The lobby floor has many shops and a couple eating options – often with music that may include karaoke. The seventh floor has a decent workout space with mats, free-weights, and machines. The building definitely has a lot of quirks – like a pool you have to go through a maze to reach & is more like a soaking tub than something to swim in. Mattresses are clean, but not the highest quality. The building has been retrofit with a bunch of different uses likely not intended by its designers. Being in the middle of Chinatown and 10 minute walk to the MRT and river ferry options, this is a great place to explore Bangkok from. We may stay there again in the future.
