We booked this hotel for its convenient location near Asoke station, as we only needed a place to rest for one night. While the property is older and could benefit from some upgrades, it was impressively clean and well maintained. Unfortunately, the pillows and bed were quite hard, which made for an uncomfortable sleep. For that reason, I wouldn’t stay here again, but it could be a suitable option for those prioritizing location over comfort.

I booked Rembrandt Hotel Bangkok expecting four-star quality, but my stay was a string of issues across three different rooms. On the 9th floor I found a cockroach and even a stray pill, with staff brushing it off as “from outside.” Curtains were stained and walls peeling. I was moved to the 6th floor, which was worse in décor and bathroom condition. On the 25th floor, where I stayed the remainder of my trip, the TV never worked (“no signal”), one wall had water damage, and overall maintenance felt neglected. Cleanliness and upkeep were a recurring problem — cracked tiles, dirty grout, and worn elevators showed long-term lack of care. Room service was also misleading. Menu photos promised generous dishes, but reality fell short: pizza was flat and bland, onion rings arrived without sauce, and a salmon dish pictured two fillets but came with only one. Management did send polite apology notes, but no solutions were offered and the problems clearly go beyond one stay. Overall, Rembrandt trades on its name more than its current quality. Between cleanliness issues, maintenance failures, and misleading dining, this hotel no longer meets four-star expectations. Better options are available nearby at the same or lower cost.

Armchairs in the room - a nice surprice

The standard of the room is very good - a very big bed and very important 2 armchairs. The room is very clean. Checkin could be much better. The hotel could not find my reservation from hotels.com, but very good, that I could find it on my tablet.
