I had a wonderful stay at the Anchorage Motel in Bar Harbor. The staff were extremely friendly and welcoming, making me feel right at home from the moment I arrived. The location is convenient, the room was clean and comfortable, and the hospitality really stood out. I’d be happy to stay here again on my next visit.

Very comfortable bed. Nice bathroom and good shower pressure. With in walking distance to downtown. “Stadium” for best coffee in town and next door has best ice cream. Housekeeping was inconsistent which was unfortunate.

Not fancy but clean and very conveniently located to Acadia National Park (short drive or take Island Hopper) and Bar Harbor Shops and Restaurants (walking distance) Susie at front desk very helpful! Every night after dinner we walked the path along the shore and back to the motel. Second time we have stayed here! Will be back!

Overall, it was a great choice. The location was excellent, and the staff were warm and reliable. Everything was within walking distance. The only small downside was that I couldn’t find any body wash.

The Anchorage motel was great for us. It’s a very basic accommodation- but, very walkable with a lot of good restaurants around. The staff were friendly and it was clean.

Worst hotel for the price on our entire vacation. Do not recommend. Hotel staff too busy to offer assistance. Called and demanded we call back to confirm our reservations even after paying through hotels.com or they would cancel our stay. Bathroom sorry. Kids running around everywhere. Extremely noisy and dirty hotel.

My initial thought was that a motel was not likely to be a great property. Wrong! The Anchorage Motelmis in a perfect location - 5 minute walk to shuttle service for Acadia National Park and easy access to many great restaurants. We were in the new building and the room had everything we needed including a microwave. Also, two very comfortable chairs, nightstands on both sides of the beds, shower with lots of pressure,etc. Staff was excellent - both Susie and Natalie had excellent suggestions and information.

Nice visit

The location of this hotel was excellent. It is not fancy, but perfect of you are spending all your time outdoors all day. Water filler and coffee in office available all day. Front desk very helpful and conversational. We had two rooms and my husband had aome bugs in his room, otherwise I felt rooms were clean and kept up quite well for an older property. Worth the money spent for location!

This property was clean and in a convenient location to both walk to downtown Bar Harbor and a short drive to Acadia. The only issue I had was that the bathroom window didn’t have a curtain and the privacy film they had applied was coming off, but it wasn’t a big deal. They had a water bottle filling station and coffee available in the lobby and a fridge in the room.

The Anchorage was in a convenient location close to the main street. We had a king room. The bed was very comfortable. The water pressure in the shower was great. Michelle and Susan were helpful. All of the staff we met were terrific. It was a very nice stay.
